The Edmonton Eskimos have released non-import defensive lineman Justin Cooper, the club announced today.

The Red Deer native played in 53 regular season games, largely on special teams, during three seasons with the Esks.

Edmonton's third round selection (23rd overall) in the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft , Cooper scored his first CFL career touchdown when he recovered a fumble in the 2008 CFL East Final at Montreal.
