Eskimo Football Club announces the contact extension of import defensive tackle Almondo Sewell, keeping him in Green and Gold through 2015. In 15 games this season, Sewell recorded 39 defensive tackles, eight quarterback sacks, one pass knockdown and one fumble recovery. The 26-year-old Akron product signed as a free agent on June 4, 2012 following a three game-appearance in Edmonton the previous year. In 16 gamesduring the 2012 season, he registered 31 defensive tackles (four for losses) and tied for the team-lead with six quarterback sacks.
