According to Canzano, ESPN are making this documentary that will focus on Oden and Bowie.

Will this film throw the medical staff under the bus or will they take a closer look at Oden's knee structure and pre-NBA injuries -- ie. hip displacement at age 14?

    I can't wait.

If they expose a bad medical staff and we get some good replacements, wouldn't that be nice though?

What about his drinking? That might've held him back.

How does Bowie fit in, except to bash the Blazers? He was decades earlier, different medical staff, ownership, coaches, everything. It's like blaming Obama for what LBJ did.

On various websites, Greg has been a party animal with college kids at Ohio State and the local Community College.

I don't see the cause and effect. Did he inject his knee with alcohol?

Canzano, a Mormon teetoller, never did explain his criticism.

He doesn't have to. He's an award winning journalist, not a reporter.

    BNM

P.S. Just to be clear, I'm not supporting Canzano, I'm mocking him.

    I had the same thoughts.

He's a Mormon? No alcohol didn't directly affect his knee but it could've been bad for his recovery and rehab.

Didn't Bowie play for something like ten years? He should really be left out of this doc.

I'm glad you explained that. I was going to put you into the pro-Canzano bag with PapaG. As a fellow non-green fonter, I see how my stuff might be misperceived, too.

    Naaah. Couldn't happen.

the parallel is sickening but appropriate

I can't wait for it to be completely one sided and all of the cities/teams fault!

I saw an interview with Bowie about 5 years ago. He was asked how he feels about being the poster child for draft mistakes. His reply (not exact words but the gist) was that he really has nothing to complain about. He said his NBA career was not what he'd hoped for but he still got to play in the NBA, which very few do. He used the money he made to start a business which he still owns. He's been happily married to the same woman for over 20 years. They have three children, all healthy, all went to college. So life has been good to him. I was glad to see him showing that kind of perspective. Maybe some day Oden will.

Ahh, so you're against the sexual revolution and people changing partners.

Is that a joke or are you making shit up? I hope #1. I was quoting Bowie. He said his marriage was something to be grateful for. Should I tell him he's wrong? Generally if one is happy with a partner there is no need to change. Do I really have to explain everything in words of one syllable?

I'm pretty sure that even jlprk doesn't understand what he's saying sometimes. He's like the Inception of S2 -- irony within satire within innuendo within a dream.

I hope Bowie REALLY has that kind of perspective, in which case he is probably a Buddhist monk.

Greg will be fine once his dental practice takes off. Although it will have to be for orcas or possibly hippos.

I don't see how you can leave Bowie out of this.
