As for #1, It is possible but highly unlikely IMO. I along with many others on Dolphins forum take issue w/ #5. I wonder what Zack thinks? LOL. Seriously, he says he is a "fan" of Jeff George which speaks volumes as to his credibility and psychologicall well-being
#9 is ridiculous. Packer fans aren't holding Favre hostage. If Favre would of retired most would of been sad but they wouldn't blame it on Favre. They'd blame Ted Thompson before Favre. Harrington won't beat out Culpepper. Joey is a backup QB and that's it. Culpepper will be the starter there and lead the Dolphins to the playoffs. Ravens will do good but not good enough to win the Super Bowl. I thought a lot of that was ridiculous. I never did like Whittlock. He's been wrong about a lot of things and I see him being wrong about most of those.
I think harrington wins job by end of season also. I usually disagree with whitlock, he hardly ever is right.
I'll start with 10, thinking that the Bengals will only win 6 games this year, IMO, is crazy. They still have a great team, Palmer should be fine by the start of the regular season, I think they'll be in the playoffs again this year. Number 9, also ridiculous. The Packers fans holding Favre hostage!?!? Are you kidding me? No true Packers fan would blame Favre for leaving after last season, not to mention the fact that there's a new coaching staff which brings along with it a new offensive scheme. And he says he's "bummed Favre didn't grow a pair this offseason and tell the Packers he wanted to be traded to the Dolphins." That is a completely ignorant statement, plain and simple. Brett Favre is going to be loyal to the city and team that he's played in virtually his entire career. IMO, Favre wouldn't want to have success with any other team. Number 8, I think Rivers has a good chance to be succesfull with the Chargers. They will run to set up the pass, LT will catch short passes, they have a great TE in Gates, and Kennan McCardell is still a capable Receiver. I think the Chargers could get a wild card spot. Number 7, I actually agree with him on this one. I think Owens will consitently get the ball, and the Cowboys will consistently win. This will keep Owens happy. The Cowboys could very well win their division, and if they don't they will get a wild card spot. Number 6, I don't know that they're my pick to be the NFC Champs, but if the Cowboys don't take the division I think they will. Number 5, I think Culpepper is overrated, but I don't think Harrington is better. Numeber 4, I think that Peyton will seriously miss the "Edge" and losing him will really test Peyton's abilities. Number 3, I don't know that anyone can hit Edgerrin James hard enough to make him tiptoe. Number 2, I'm pretty sure that Ben will remember to wear his helmet, and all though there's some big D-Linemen, they're not cars. So I don't see the accident affecting his on-field play. Number 1, The Ravens picked up McNair who I think will really help them, and Ray Lewis will be healthy this year but I don't see them making it to the Super Bowl, although I think they make the playoffs.
10. Marvin Lewis - Agreed 9. Bullshit. Packers fans would have supported Favre if he wanted to be traded. He won't regret coming back and the Packers won't bomb against the Eagles in Week 4. 8. If I had to bet, I'd agree...Phillip Rivers will bomb. At least this year, anyway. 7. If he's healthy, TO WILL have a monster year in Dallas this year. 6. Redskins in the Superbowl? Not as long as Brunell is their #1 guy. 5. Only if Culpepper gets injured. Joey won't outplay C-pepp if he's back to 100% health. 4. Bullshit. When a team loses a 1500 yard 10+ TD guy, he will be missed. Manning personally won't miss him because he's a stat whore and would love to throw on every down, but the TEAM will miss Edge. 3. Maybe. I don't think the Cards' line is truly awful, but definitely not as good as Indy's. 2. No. The guy is 27-4 and a Superbowl champion. His confidence won't be rattled when the pads go on. 1. Mmmm...nope. Ravens will be greatly improved, but no Superbowl this year. If they were in the NFC, sure. But not in the AFC.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought most of that was a joke. Favre said already before the end of the season he didn't ever want to play for a different team. I can sooner believe #1 then #5. If Joey couldn't get it done with all that receiver talent why will it change in Miami. Fact is he was given enough years to read a field and never got there
I agree with #10 I agree with everything except the 6 games. Down the road maybe next year these bad character players will affect them. It happened to carolina with Carruth and the panthers went 1-15. Marvin is a hell of a coach, but he needs to get better character players. #8 i dont like because im a big philip rivers fan. Rivers will evolve into a solid starter this year and eventually be a pro bowler in 3-4 years. #7 If the cowboys line gives Bledsoe time TO will thrive #5 Maybe. Without Scott Leinhan Culpepper hasnt done much. Scott left for the Rams. I think Culpepper wont do that bad this year because he has Chris Chambers #4 I think Peyton will miss James. Now teams can drop back more people in coverage and unless one of those backs gets 1100 yards peyton will miss him a little. #1 Disagree my panthers will win the SB.

Cmon lets get real........
I would and I know most would. Packer fans will support Favre to death. It's ridiculous even. I tried to criticize Favre on a packer board for last year and everyone thought I was the Devil. GB fans would blame Ted Thompson for trading Favre before they'd blame Favre for wanting to be traded.
IMO Favre would never ask to be traded. He is a Green Bay Packer and will continue to be a Green Bay Packer until he retires. I mean Favre has bonded with many of the players on the Packers and even though many players come and go there are players like Henderson, Green and Driver who have been there for a long time and I don't think Favre would want to go to a new team where he doesn't know anyone this late in his career. Also no other team has fans like Green Bay, I mean they still pack the stadium and cheer like they're undefeated even when they're really 1-7.

While I agree that Culpepper is WAY overrated and that he sucked before his injury, there's no way "The Princess" could hold the starting job for any lenghth of time if Dante is able to play. I must admit that the thought of Culpepper being a TOTAL BUST makes me even more anxious for the season to start! As for Witlock's Ten Truths ... a nice job and I hope most of his predictions turn out to be true. I can see Mark Brunell earning a trip to the Pro Bowl this year.

Until Jason Campbell takes the reigns, Washington IMO does not live up to full potential. ZM; I knew you could not make a post about Daunte w/o mentioning Joey. LOL. The event that makes most anxous for the season is; How long it will be before Terrell explodes and the Cowboys implode? You know TO's antics so far are causing Parcells moments of sheer ecstasy. Currently, the idiot scoreboard reads - TO 2 Marcus Vick 0.
I dont think the skins win more then 8 or 9..... good defense but they always have had ups and downs in their seasons. I dont think Brunell is all that special he is old and has never had a tremendous arm. It was more along the line of wow can he throw on the run, and now that he is what 35 he isnt as quick. Randel El is a better quarterback if you ask me, I always thought he could play QB in the nfl. Jason Cambell will be a bust. No doubt in my mind. There cant be 32 great quarterbacks in the league and it seems like 30 teams have "franchise" QB's either in or in the making. ESPN analysts are idiots, they are the ultimate bandwagoners.
How can Jason Campbell be labeled a bust since he hasn't started a game (or not that I've seen any). He can always learn from Brunell and "develop" into at least a quarterback that is dependable or possibly a decent one. I can care less about ESPN analysts because they do what they are paid for. Heck, if I had a job like that, I'd be putting my thoughts that are hated by others as well. But the thing is that, I'm getting paid! IDK about the whole bandwagoners thing but I do think they favor the Patriots alot.

I agree with Campbell. I think he'll be solid. He can learn from Brunnel for another year and come in and he'll b solid in my opinion. He has a great arm, good accuracy and can scramble. He has a lot of potential too be a solid QB in this league. Joe Gibbs and Al Saunders should do well with him.
