You are a good college player, but projected as a marginal pro....either as a tall, but thin center in basketball, an average strength outfielder in baseball, or an undersized linebacker in football....you are approached with an "undetectable" designer steroid after your freshman year of college....the dealer is willing to supply you with this stuff for free now, but he wants a large payout after you sign your pro deal(half your 1st contract)....he tells you he thinks its safe, but he doesnt really know....you know you arent likely to make it to the pros without some help....do you take the roids?
unfortunately I would have to say yes....
But thats just because I want the best athletes in the world science can provide

you dont know what it would do to you, other than make you incredible strong....you have no idea what the side effects would be because its a new drug, with little to no testing....all indications are that you would become a major pro prospect if you continued to work as hard as you already do and take the roid...
Would it make me spell Dwyane Wade's first name right? (JUST KIDDING)
Obviously many pro NFL players do make this choice and fully knowing a lot of the side effects. They also play hurt on painkillers and worse. Average life expectency for an NFL player is mid-50s or thereabouts.
I'd go for the baseball contract

Not a chance. I can think of worse things than playing 10 years of minor league ball. I don't give a shit, I'll work my ass off, do the best I can then become a coach or broadcaster.
I would love to sit on the end of a NBA bench. I jump up and clap, throw guys towels and get out of their way like nobody else. And then I'd collect a fat cheque twice a month. Even playing Europe would be great.
As far as the small linebacker goes, well I'm Canadian, so I'd love to play in the CFL after four years in the AA.

no i definately wouldnt...

it'll make you strong sure but c'mon we all know that that stuff is not good for you. the real question is... Is money and fame worth your health? You can still have a great college career, get a degree, try and go for the majors and if you come up short, get a good job.

My answer is no in all 3 cases, but the best scenario is to be the tall, thin center because you can't teach height
Lets say you are 7'2 and 180lbs....not strong at all, in fact, you are rail thin...you know if you can get in the weight room with a little assistance, you could be 7'2, 290lbs, and strong as an ox.....and with your skill level and work ethic and that size, you are a lottery pick, maybe even top 5....are you going to settle for less than the best?
7'2" 180 pounds eh?

Estimate #1 based on height and weight
Your "Ponderal Index" is 15.23 which gives an estimated body fat of -31.5% (-56.8 pounds of fat)Looks like you better put on some weight!

yeah, I'm 6'3, 195 lbs and am skinner rather than fatter.
I don't even know if it'd be possible to live with the specs you said.

QUOTE (mynetsforlife)

Would my testes shrink?
Would I have a Barry Bonds esque head?

lol.
I wouldn't because if you meant to play in that particular sport you will get choosen.
As we're talking about Physical stats I'm 6"2 and about 200 lbs so the right weight for American Football or Rugby lol/
