This is interesting: This sounds like the formation of the English Premier League, which led to a huge influx of money into the league followed shortly by a flood of excellent non-English players (with the result that English players are actually in the minority in the top clubs). If this works, the league could suck better players away from the NBA, and certainly keep the better domestic European players.
