What would you guys as our off-season grade?
IMO I would give an A-
i loved what the raps did this offseason:

Drafting CV31 AND Graham: People disagreed with babcocks decision..however
they managed to prove critics wrong

Trading SKip for James: James is a great leader..and should provide a lot of assists

Waiving Murray: Waiving this team-cancer was one of the best moves this off-season

signing Jose: I love Jose's game..he should be a solid future player (mini MANU?

Also in other news:Insidehoops just reports that in a few weeks or a month..Babcock will be fired

Meh, I wouldn't listen to the rumours floating around. They are usually just to cause disarray in organizations and get reactions from people.

I am so sick of people being all over Babcock. I think MLSE is to blame for the Araujo pick. When did they hire Babcock, 20 days before the draft?!? What took them so long?

When Peddie was asked why they hadn't hired a GM yet, 1 month after Glen Grunwald was fired (April 1st) their response was, we just want to make sure we hire the right person.

Now if they need to take over 2 months to make a decision on a GM, why do they turn around and tell the GM he has less then 20 days to hire all his staff, scout the draft and make the right selection, else you are fired!

    Bu77sh!t!

The Araujo pick and the signing of Alston is as much fault of MLSE as it is Babcock. Those two decision should not be held over his held. He wasn't given the tools to properly do his job......time.

The Vince Carter trade.....well I guess the fans and media who are all over that trade saying how bad it was and we should have gotten more, totally forget what VC was like in his last days in Toronto. I believe we got the best trade available. I know Babcock knew that Zo wouldn't be actually coming to Toronto. He wanted the 2 draft picks.

    ---

Paxson is a moron...yes, the Chicago Bulls GM! What is he doing, trading away his best players, getting draft picks, going young.

Why is he drafting Hinrich one year, and Gordon the next. IS HE CRAZY, they play the SAME POSITION!!!!! and with his second pick WHY THE HELL DID HE DRAFT LUOL DENG instead of Iguodola! Doesn't he read NBADRAFT.net!! He should know that Iguodola was projected 3rd!!

....oh wait a minute, it worked out? Wow, Paxson is a genious!

Well the context of the article sort of says that if his draft picks don't work out this year and show more potential then Hoffa then he's a target to be fired, which is believable. But it doesn't look like that is going to happen, everyone is showing progress so far so his job looks to be safe.

I know Hoffa isn't exactly Babcocks responsibility but who knows how rational the board of directors at MLSE is... Their number one objective is to make money, and if fans won't support a team run by Rob Babcock then they'll fire him. They pretty much already proved they don't know what they are doing hiring a GM 2 weeks before the draft and interviewing canidates so extensively that some of them withdrew their names from the proccess. Not to mention getting hijacked before the draft by Jack Mcloske who threatened to leave with all the scouts if Babcock wasn't hired.

Ben Gordon is more of a shooting guard than a point guard, and although Iguodala is more athletic and probably has more potential, Luol Deng is also very versatile and he's got a more polished offensive game.

What players did you mean by "good" anyways? The Elton Brand trade to LA and the Rose for Artest trades were terrible; but he's gotten a solid nucleus through the draft to make up for it.
