I thought tlong made that up? Haha. I'd like to think that Chip has some unfinished business at Oregon Ed O.
Other than the Miami media says it isn't true, of course. Plus, you posted that there were Dolphin officials in Eugene, which is much, much different than "reaching out" to somebody. So, no. That rumor has been debunked. http://sportstwo.com/threads/202797-Chip-Kelly-to-the-Dolphins?p=2698990&viewfull=1#post2698990
I reach out to Chip too - while at the RB but didn't get a high five. I wasn't in Eugene, reaching out though. I yelled, "Big balls," and acted like I was juggling - which made him do that half-mouthed smiled. The dude cracks me up. A well known assistant coach from another successful Duck sport hung iwth us in the hotel bar the night before the game, then bummed a ride with us from the hotel to the game and tailgated with us. That was a lot of fun and insightful. All the traveling, recruiting and time away from their fams really doesn't sound all that fun.
Miami is not a great first NFL coaching job, further NFL teams and ego maniac players and Chip's Philosophy of win the day wont blend well.
Yeah, it pretty much has been debunked. Show me one legitimate news service that confirms Miami Dolphin officials were in Eugene on 12/16. It would have been a neat trick, since the staff was mostly out recruiting before the dead period began.
