Bombshell lawsuit accuses ex-Fox News anchor Ed Henry of making an employee his 'sex slave' and handcuffing and raping her in a hotel room - and accuses Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity of sexual harassment
    • The federal suit was filed Monday in New York by Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer at Fox Business, and Cathy Areu, a guest on the network
    • Eckhart claims Henry raped her after trying to coerce her into a sexual relationship
    • Areu claims she was sexually harassed by Henry and several other men at the network - including star anchors Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson
    • Henry was fired by Fox News on July 1 after an unnamed employee - now revealed to be Eckhart - accused him of sexual misconduct
    • The former anchor denied the allegations in the lawsuit in a statement Monday and claimed his relationship with Eckhart was consensual
    • Fox News denied the suit's claims that it 'not only cultivated and fostered sexual harassment and misconduct, but has consistently accepted and rewarded it'
Former Fox News anchor Ed Henry has been accused of 'violently raping' one woman and sexually harassing another in a bombshell new lawsuit.

The federal suit was filed on Monday in the US District Court for Southern New York by Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer at Fox Business, and Cathy Areu, a frequent guest on the network.

Eckhart claims that Henry - who was fired from the network on July 1 after an unnamed employee accused him of sexual misconduct - handcuffed her and raped her in a hotel room after trying to coerce her into a sexual relationship.

Areu claims she was sexually harassed by Henry, 49, and several other men at the network - including star anchors Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson and journalists Howard Kurtz and Gianno Caldwell.

The lawsuit describes how Hannity allegedly offered staff $100 to take Areu on a date while she served as a regular face on his primetime show in 2018.

One has to ask why this appears to be a civil suit instead of there being criminal charges filed?

Less burden of proof required (Probably not enough evidence to prosecute). Plus the timing is better for a big splash pre-election. That just might make this get settled very quickly. Not that Hannity and cronies can do anything wrong in the eyes of Trumpettes.....

'When ur owned you dont get a choice': Fox News anchor Ed Henry's explicit texts to employee he 'raped' are revealed as her lawyer blasts his attorney for victim-shaming saying Weinstein's trial proved it's a myth victims would not message their attackers
    • Former Fox Business producer Jennifer Eckhart accused Ed Henry of rape in a lawsuit filed Monday
    • She claims that Henry - who has been married since 2010 - handcuffed her and raped her in a hotel room in 2017 after trying to coerce her into a sexual relationship for years
    • The suit includes texts Henry allegedly sent to Eckhart in which he refers to their relationship in graphic terms
    • Henry was fired by Fox News on July 1 after an unnamed employee accused him of sexual misconduct
    • His lawyer Catherine Foti denied Eckhart's allegations and claimed the relationship was consensual
    • Foti said Eckhart sent Henry 'aggressively suggestive communications' that prove it was consensual
    • Eckhart's lawyer Michael Willemen hit back by accusing Foti of pushing a rape myth that a victim would never send her attacker friendly or consensual-looking messages
    • Willemin referenced the Harvey Weinstein trial as proof that just because a person sends positive messages to an attacker before or after a rape does not mean they are not a victim
    • A second plaintiff in the suit, Cathy Areu, claims she was sexually harassed by Henry and fellow anchors Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson
    • Fox News has emphatically denied the allegations and branded them 'utterly devoid of any merit'

The key allegations outlined in Monday's complaint include:

    • Henry raped Eckhart in a hotel room in 2017 after pursuing a sexual relationship with her for three years prior, beginning when she was 24 in 2014
    • Henry offered to help Areu get a full time job at Fox News if she had sex with him and sent her suggestive messages earlier this year
    • Sean Hannity offered staff $100 to take Areu on a date while she served as a regular face on his primetime show in 2018
    • Tucker Carlson invited Areu to his hotel room in December 2018 and he retaliated against her after she refused
    • Fox News intentionally ignored sexual misconduct allegations against its top TV personalities
