<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Celtics appear set to solidify Paul Pierce?s future in Boston. While there may still be some details to be ironed out, expect an announcement in the next day or two that the captain has agreed to a three-year extension with the club.</div> http://celtics.bostonherald.com/celtics/vi...rticleid=148007
Thats soo great. But like I said I hope they get him that other piece of the puzzle needed to win a championship!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Remedy:</div><div class="quote_post">If I was Pierce, I'd wait to see if the club can get Iverson before I sign an extension.</div> Iverson has never been a part of Pierce's plans, and just because the mainstream sports media talks about something, doesn't make it so. Pierce is his own player, on his own team, and he's never talked seriously about leaving. Nor has anyone, quite to the contrary of the public's opinion. So let's not address this issue as if it was an inevitability. Ainge loves AI, yes, and AI wants desperately to go to Boston, but the ignorant mess of a GM's office in Philly that stands in their way, and that may be the case for the duration of those three careers. Oh well.
I could see the Celtics winning a championship in the future, once all their young players get a little older.
