I think we will hear just as many LMA going to Hou trade rumors. I don't think LMA will be going to either team. I wouldn't mind trades with either team if we could get enough but both teams would actually be worse with some of the trade proposals that I have been reading on S2. I would love Barnes/Thompson/Lee but GSW can't do that and have a playoff team.

Lee (if healthy) + Thompson would be fair IMHO. We would have a team full of awesome shooters.

I agree that is the best we could realistically expect out of GSW. I would think Thompson or Barnes and Lee is the most GSW could give up. I would love both Barnes and Thompson and no Lee but GSW wouldn't.

Who would they have to add for a Wes and Aldridge deal for Thompson, Barnes and lee?

    They aren't giving up both.

    Choose: Barnes or Klay

I would imagine if they were to move one, it'd be Barnes. By adding Iggy, they couldn't afford to have Iggy and Barnes, with little 3 point shooting. Klay/Curry with Iggy would be a great 1/2/3. I'd consider Bogut and Barnes for Aldridge. Though, after adding Robin, would try to maybe look to flip Bogut, potentially. But if they insisted on Lee, I'd need both Klay and Barnes.

I think the only way GSW gives Lee, Barnes, and Thompson for LMA is if we include Wes. It works cap wise, and works for both teams I think. Lillard/Thompson/Batum/Lee/Lopez with a McCollum/Barnes/Robinson/Leonard bench (and Crabbe, Barton, Claver, Freeland deep bench) is an amazingly young team with a ton of young talent.

But I don't think the Blazers pull that trigger, I think the front office wants to see what they have put together, with the thought of maybe consolidating one of Wes or Batum with two of McCollum/Robinson/Lopez/Leonard at the trade deadline for a big piece.

Klay and Barnes would never happen. I'm a bit torn on who I want the W's to trade. Klay is the better fit but I really don't want to let Barnes go. Most of what I've read makes me think that most of the league values them pretty evenly. Do you guys think Portland would prefer Bogut and his one year deal or Lee and his production? Personally, I'd love to send Bogut and Klay. That would mean LMA plays C for GS. Can he do that? It's been a while since I watched him and, at the time, I did not think he was a legit C, but he seems to play a bit bigger now.

Lol. He doesn't EVER want to play center. He has said as much. So, good luck with that.

I think Bogut/Klay is more realistic.

If Lee was involved, it would have to be Klay/Lee/Barnes to absorb his absurd contract.

The case could be made that Aldridge is just as good at C as he is at PF, but there is no doubt that LMA hates playing center.

Yeah - if only he could play like Thompson he'd be good. I guess that's "potential".

Bogut + Barnes + Thompson for Aldridge + Freeland - take it or leave it (and I'm fine if they leave it).

I never understood players who just don't like being called a center. Hell, call him a point guard, as long as he guards the other teams best big and can score in the post.

And Lee's contract isn't THAT bad. Sure, his production may decline, like every other player over 30, but he doesn't rely on supreme athleticism so the dropoff shouldn't be that steep. You could make the case that, looking at his production and all-star status, that he is underpaid. Tor rejected him becuase they wanted to add no salary and want to avoid adding talent, other than super star level talent. I'm not saying he is a great value, and maybe I'm biased, but I think he's getting undeservedly knocked and I hope the warriors keep him around.

Being a Warriors fan, who do you personally think has more potential between Thompson and Barnes?

I already know my answer, but I'm just curious what yours is.
