Still, he has held off on buying a new house in the area until he knows he will remain here.</div> Vandeweghe, Nuggets face tough decisions
I think that if Camby doesn't go to Minnesota, then he stays in Denver. That latter seems like what will happen though.
I think if Camby can stay healthy he will be with the Nuggets for a while the Nuggets should be intrested in signing him he performed well in the playoffs.
Yep..We need to hang on to him...Even if he is having a bad game...He is using his quality leadership skills and intensity to motivate guys...I really want to keep him in denver...He is a playoff performer and the catalyst on our defensive end...He needs to stay..But we need to go out and find a 2 guard that can actually PLAY defense.. *cough 'shon cough*...And then we will be a lot tougher to beat!
I dont know if we need to bend over backwards for Camby. The Nugs already have too many good rebounders like Melo, Elson, & Nene. Plus Camby is always liable for injuries.
Nene is not neccesarrily a good rebounder, actually he's pretty bad for a PF, Carmelo is a SF and is a good rebounder but you need an interior rebounder. Elson can board but he's not a full time starter at the C in this league. Camby can also run the floor very well and is atheletic which helps the team, when Camby and Nene are in every player can push the ball on the break by themselves if they want to.
i tend to think it's only a matter of time before he injures himself again...i've seen a lot of him since his days in Toronto and i think he's still injury prone

As much as I like him, and as much as I know how much he's contributed to the team. There is just too much physicality and power in the current NBA as well as coming. Why in 2 years time, because of all the "younger" powerhouses, he'd be crippled.
especially now that he plays in the Western Conference where large, talented power forwards are the norm

He played one more game than Camby this season , and common, Camby played 29 games the past 2 seasons, and this was the year he's played the most games in his career. He's never palyed a full season, and before this the most games he's played in a season was 63, 98-99 he only missed 4 games though. Carter played his first 2 full seasons, missed a few his third, and the last 2 seasons averaged 52 games to 29 by Camby, I don't think their's much of a comparison there.

As of right now, Denver is the Favorite to get Camby, there are rumors about other teams, but I think that Camby would never want to play in a big market again after the way he was treated in New York. (He played with no intesnsity, he was nicknamed "cotton camby'' or my personal favorite "marcus Bambi")
Surprised no one has posted this yet, old news. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If you're hoping your team has a shot at wooing Marcus Camby away from Denver, better cool those hopes. Sources say the Nuggets and Camby essentially have the framework of a new contract in place, to be formalized in July, that will keep Camby in the Rocky Mountains and still enable Denver to be among the most active bidders on this summer's market.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2004...marc&id=1813128 Looks like Kiki worked out a pretty good deal, it will be nice to have Marcus back.
