Who would win the Michigan Fab 5 or the 1990 Running Rebels? Fab 5 --------- Jalen Rose Chris Webber Juwan Howard Ray Jackson Jimmy King vs. 1990 Runnin Rebels ----------------------- Larry Johnson Anderson Hunt Greg Anthony Stacy Augmon Moses Scurry
its hard to say that the Fab-5 would win this game seeing as they never won a championship and the 90 rebels were one of the most dominant college teams of all time... the Fab-5 players were not nearly as good then as they are now...and the rebels players were never as good in the NBA as they were then... college - Rebels win it NBA level - fab 5 dominates
I was gonna start a Fab 5 thread but I'll just post here. To keep this on topic, I'll have to agree with SCBrian. The Fab 5 were much more talented as individuals, but they never could've accomplished what UNLV did as a team. Now for my rant, I absolutely love the Fab 5. I was about 13 years old when they came into prominence so I was just beginning to really understand the game on all it's levels. I immediately took to this group of guys. I dreamed of going to school in Ann Arbor and lacing them up on the floor of Crisler Arena. I still love Michigan in spite of their scarred reputation and I still check the box scores to see how Chris, Jalen and Juwan did last night.
I think it's a horrible decision by Michigan to punish the current players for past infractions. I'm sure none of the recruits would have signed with Michigan if they new their team would be suspended.
I got to go with the Runnin' Rebels. As much as I like the Fab Five, let's face it they never won anything. They didn't even win a Big 10 title.
