Isnt it about time the FA seriously looked into officiating football matches more adequatly? Every time i watch football now Referees are constantly making bad decisions.

Diving is a constant occurance in the game and its becoming a joke.

I really think it is about time football officiating following Rugby officiating and bring in instant replay monitors for referees. There is no valid excuse not to.

Take Man Utd v Middlesbrough tonight for example. Ronaldo again dives and wins a penalty to steal a semi final place. Not only that Wayne Rooney twice fights with Middlesbrough players, but never even got spoken too never mind sent off.

This is not just a one off. Its happening in every game and players are now playing for these decisions and bullying the referee into making decisions.
It certainly seems that football officials sway in the favour of the bigger teams.

This has to stop its time the fairness was brought back into the game and cheating, diving and racial abuse need to be wiped from English football.

The FA need to act now, not debate about having penalty shoot outs at the end of drawn football matches.

To be fair to Ronaldo, he never dived. If that would have been Johnson yesterday we wouldn't have said that he had dived.

Going onto your instant replay argument, it would ruin football and it just wouldn't work. What's the first thing you do after the match when you're in the pub (If you go the match?). You talk about the game, the decisions and what could have been. If we had those instant replays, in some ways it would take the fun out of what goes on after the match. It will slow the game down and I don't think it would suit football.

Football is a high tempo game, which is one thing Rugby isn't.

Secondly, if you want to bring it in, you need to bring it in worldwide and across the board. It won't just work if you have it in the Premiership and nowhere else.

It's been debated and talked about so much recently, and it's getting old and fucking annoying.

And I fully agree to what you're saying about the fairness in football. Some of the decisions made are strange, each referee interprets the rules in different ways and there is no consistency.

But, it comes from the top down. At the moment the FA is shite. Some of the decisions they make really wind me up. Take for example the incident with Emre. Today they said he has been cleared, even though he has admitted using racial terminology towards Howard and Yobo. Now fuck me, who is at the top of the FA? Is it that kopite twat Barwick? Lets take for instance, if the racism was aimed towards Pennant or Sissoko. Emre would have been hung drawn and quartered by now.

    The FA just stinks.

And what you're saying about the penalty shoot outs at the end of drawn matches is a load of bollocks. We want to improve the games, not make them worse.

The referees are kept in an underground chamber underneath Old Trafford! [IMG]

Thats why they get all the decisions.

Well if the FA are going to let it happen and not do nothing about it then it will continue through out football..
