I was just watching the brawl in The Fan and they interviewed what he had to say. It`s near the end. BTW- For people that couldn`t get any clips of the fight, you won`t need Windows Media or anything.

Fan: "I followed my friend down to the court and I didn`t notice the melee, next thing I know I see Ron Artest throw a punch into right eye...there has to be some kind of...lawsuit or something....you can`t hit a fan like that."

In sounded like he was still shooken up and mumbled alot.

Ron Artest didn't hit him that hard, it was Jermaine O'neal who knocked him out. Does anyone have the full clip of the fight on Windows Media Player? I want to make a mix out of it.

He can hit a fan like that if he threw beer at him as an insult or a physically threatening gesture.

Those guys had it coming. What did they expect would happen when they walk onto the court and get in a player's face? Artest and Oneal should be punished for punching them (throwing a punch is an automatic suspension), but I don't feel to sorry for those people. They don't have a legitimate grievance.

Chuck Person (now an assistant coach) threw a punch at them as well.

Ummmmm, how do you not notice the melee. And the only lawsuit you should be worried about is "You should not have been in that situation because there was no reason for you to go onto the floor."

Artest and O'Neal had every right to knock this guy out. He never should've been on the floor at the first place. He deserves what he got, and needs to shutup, and take it...

So walking on the court is such a crime that it warrants a knockout punch in the face by a seven foot athlete?

Why was he on the court to begin with?

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Vintage:</div><div class="quote_post">There are some ignorant people on this board....</div>

What's the deal with making such a vague comment like that and not even stating who it was directed towards. If you felt I was being ignorant, then you should have told me that I was being ignorant and at least offered some insight as to why.

Now is that a concern of the Palace security or Jermaine O'Neal?

    Not you.

You and I have the same opinion on this matter.

In the interview all he said was "I followed my friend to the court."

Players should not have gone into the stands; however, fans also should not go onto the court. The two idiots approached Ron as he was walking away, in a somewhat aggressive way. The fact that they were on the court threatens athletes, and the athletes did in my opinon have the right to do something about it. Overall, the security was horrendous, letting intoxicated and stupid fans to walk onto the court and approach athletes is just wrong.
