Last night, I was at the Raptors game and it's hilarious how the fans respond to Brian Hill. When the starting lineup was announced, the arena was going crazy and everyone was on their feet. Then they say "Head Coach Brian Hill" and then all the fans just stop and then everyone starts booing like crazy. It was hilarious. Also, during the game there were so many Hill hecklers it wasn't even funny. People were yelling "Make some fucking changes!" and "Does our team even have a coach?" It was awesome. The fans hate Hill which is the first step towards change. Let's keep supporting our Magic by humiliating Hill!

We should still support him since he is our coach. You know how much I hate him, but booing him will affect the players in a negative way, IMO. We are in the middle of a playoff push.
This is interesting. Apparently an ESPN Insider article talks about the Brian Hill situation and it says that the players all think he should be fired. Otis obviously discredited it but what else is he supposed to say? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic General Manager Otis Smith on Wednesday discredited an item in the recent issue of ESPN The Magazine that said players unanimously wanted Coach Brian Hill replaced and that Hill has a poor relationship with star Dwight Howard. “It’s not true,” Smith said. An item in a notes column next to writer Chris Broussard’s “NBA Insider” read, “Despite Magic GM Otis Smith’s vow to keep coach Brian Hill, the players are unanimous in wanting him gone. Hill’s relationship with star Dwight Howard turned irrevocably sour, a source says, when the coach told his center not to be late for the Monday practice after All-Star Weekend.” Smith told the Sentinel in late February that Hill would return next season and was expected to fulfill his contractual obligations (through 2008-09). He said “nothing has changed” in the Magic’s view of Hill, despite a season that has not met the franchise’s expectations. About Hill’s relationship with Howard, Smith said, “I don’t see anything there. I was on that plane with Dwight back from Las Vegas (site of the All-Star game).”</div> Source
Well, either that report is false or Otis is a bad GM. If the players have a poor relationship with the coach and don't want to play for him then one of the two has to leave. In this case, Dwight is clearly staying so a coaching change needs to be made. I know it's in a different sport, but just look at the NJ Devils. They recently fired their coach 5 games before the playoffs, because the players told the GM that they didn't think they could be very successful under him. It'd be an wierd sort of atmosphere if they start next season with that type of tension.
If this did happen and Otis is denying it, I can only assume that he is waiting until the offseason to make coaching changes. He probably figures he will see how we do in the playoffs and if this continue to spiral downward, he will fire Hill.
i went to the timberwolves game last week and i saw 4 different people wearing fire brian hill shirts..i want one soooo bad
