Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>John Green, the man who infamously threw a beer cup at Ron Artest that sparked a huge brawl at the Palace at Auburn Hills, has been banned for life from the arena."You are forever banned from attending any Detroit Pistons home games," reads the letter from John Ciszewski, executive vice president of the Pistons.Pistons spokesman Kevin Grigg would only say: "The decision with John Green was made by our organization after discussions with league officials."</div>Source: USA TodayWow... a lifetime ban? I think it's appropriate considering he basically sparked the whole brawl by throwing the cup at Artest.Thoughts? Is this a reasonably appropriate "sentence" in your opinion? Why or why not?
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I thought that was old news.Of course he wont be allowed into the palace. Ron Artest should be in jail though
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I'm glad he's banned indefinitely...because of his immaturity he caused one of the biggest brawls in NBA history.
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games Punishment fits the crime. The Pistons don't need a fan like that guy to be allowed to the games, there is no point to it. I say good ridance.
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games Yes, that is a fair punishment. He made the entire fanbase a stereotype as a bunch of drunks. (I don't know if that's proper grammar )
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I am a fan. And a drunk. So I really dont mind the stereotype :drunk: . I dont really know what the punishment was. At first it says that he is banned from the arena. If that is the case, its too harsh. He should only be banned from Pistons games. I dont think it would be right to ban him from concerts. I know plenty of artists out there that deserve to have stuff thrown at them. I would welcome this guy and even buy him a ticket.
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I think it is fair, I think it also sets a good example for what might happen to the next guy. It keeps people from thinking, "well, if he got away with it, I might too."There is a barrier between fans and players and John Green crossed it.
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I agree with the lifetime ban, its a well deserving punishment for a well deserving idiot.
Re: Fan who ignited the brawl banned forever from Piston's home games I think its more than fair. Its a sport. No need to turn the NBA into a voilent peice of sh*t, Like european soccer - people have died at those games. :no3:
