Last year at this time, I was one of you.

Read the New York Post Giants page from September 18th of last year and see if your paper last Monday doesn't look exactly like this one.

So you fans of the Jaguars, Dolphins, Chargers, Bengals, Browns, Seahawks, Lions and Vikings, cheer up! A certified miracle might magically transform your crappy team into the Super Bowl Champions.

(Chiefs and Rams fans, let's be real here. There's miracles and then there's miracles, you know?)

You might as well put the Bengals and Dolphins with the Rams and Chiefs

LOL... I was wondering if I'd ever see a picture of that posted by a Raiders fan.

I think the only 0-2 teams that might turn it around are the Chargers and Jags. I think the Browns are done, the 'Phins never had a chance, the Bungles have looked horrific, the Chiefs and Lions have already been mentioned and...yea.

The Vikings are the other interesting case. I think they could turn it around now that Tavaris Jackson isn't their QB. Frerotte has been solid in the past, and all he has to do is manage the game and convert 3rd downs, everything else is basically done by AP. If he can do that, I think they have a chance.

Maybe the Dolphins (but they are run and coached by competent people), but the Bengals are no worse than the Giants were after week two last year.

Same with all of the other teams.

The Bengals are a lot worse than the Giants were last year. The Giants had players on defense that other teams would actually want to employ. The Giants weren't run by a cheap-ass owner nor managed by a fool at Head Coach.

While that is all true, you couldn't have convinced one Giants fan of any of that last year at this time.

The Bengals have some decent players. Their defense forced a lot of fumbles last year that they did not recover (Check your ESPN mag). The offense certainly has raw talent. Lewis did coach one of the best defenses of the last decade.

    Lewis as DC :check:
    Lewis as HC :shitstorm:

Plus, the Giants play in the NFC, so 0-2 wasn't anything that couldn't be overcome.

Look at the AFC. It's easier than ever to make the playoffs at 0-2 right now.

There are two teams that have a shot in the Chargers and the Jags. The Chargers because they play in the AFC West, which is a lot like the NFC.

Last year, your list of teams that "have a shot" would not have included the Giants.

They looked a lot more like the Bengals and Lions than the Chargers and Jags.

FWIW I think the Dolphins can pull off 6-10 or 7-9.

In my NFL predictions last year, I had the Packers and Giants 14th and 15th in the NFC, respectively (at the start of the season). That worked out. Also had the Rams winning the NFC West.

The Vikings have been saved guys? You haven't heard? Gus Frerotte (aka Jesus) has assumed the starting QB spot.....why would you bench your youngster after 2 weeks? IMO They should run the option with him & AP ;) or just give Peterson a screen on passing plays

Why would you bench him? I dunno, his 51% completion percentage is a pretty good reason. Same with his absolute incomepetence on 3rd downs. Plus, with the way he's playing, he's not even giving his team a good shot at winning. He's made some boneheaded passes, missed open receivers, and has just played bad in general. So, for the sake of the Vikes, I'd say it's a good idea benching him.

I think an 0-2 team only won the Super Bowl three times.

    Cowboys, Patriots, and Giants.

Dallas added Emmit Smith to their team. New England got Tom Brady and the Giants run was certainly one for the ages.

My point is that it's rare. I do think if one team has it in them it's San Diego though. They just need to get healthy.
