So my girlfriend has to work consistently at 5pm at 60th and Belmont, while we live in the Tron. She's sick of leaving at 3:30 in order to get there on time by taking 26 and/or Barnes. Anyone know of any killer back roads? All I can think of is going through Garden Home and across the Sellwood bridge, but we haven't tried that yet. Any ideas (besides "Move to Portland already, because we're working on that.")?
you live in beaverton? I thought you were cool, man. I thought you were cool. I take Canyon Road all the way down to 26, personally. Sellwood bridge traffic is teh ghey though.
I'd love to help, but I don't know the secret ways of Hillsdale. I think no matter what, she isn't going over 35mph most of her drive.
Did the morning commute for over 10 years (Cowherd got me through that time period). Beaverton Hillsdale Highway all the way to downtown or Canyon to 26. 60th and Belmont is a hip area of town. Just move there . . . and come back when you have kids.
This, is one of the great questions of our times. On a par with such questions as, "What is the meaning of life?", and, "Why do birds fly?". Good luck with it. People have been looking for that fountain of youth for decades.
I would also put in the question "Why is the east bound tunnel always slow?" I think it's because you can't see and tend to hit your breaks more quickly, but there has to be more to that.
