i like tracks that are stretched out and melodic but in an original way....

Talib Kweli - Rush, Shock Body, The Day Hip Hop Died
2Pac - Ambitionz As a Ridah, Scandalous, live and die in L.A.
Dr. Dre - Bitch Please II, Still D.R.E. (Good to see other people recognize how RIDICULOUS this beat is)
Jay-Z - Guilty Until Proven Innocent, Dirt Off your shoulder, What more can i say, Takeover, Dead Presidents II, politics as usual. If you could pick one artist to listen to their beats, it's Jay-Z HANDS DOWN.
    ras kass - oohwee
Terror Squad - Lean Back (admit it the first time you heard it you were like whoa)
    Scarface - F**k faces
Outkast - Flip Flop Rock, yeah they've got others but this one is really dope i think i like the piano
Ice Cube - It was a good day, when will they shoot (one of the most influential beats ever)
Grandmaster Flash - The Message (this is the beat against which all other beats should be compared)
noreaga - the way we live
    notorious b.i.g. - things done changed,juicy
Kanye - the food (i love this beat cause it sounds like it's backwards for some reason)
50/mobb - outta control remix - it's sick plain and simple
lil bow wow - bounce with me - no that's not a typo that is a catchy damn beat!

notice i don't list any nas or mobb deep or wu-tang, i think their beats are a bit dated and don't hold up that well for the most part. I'm listening to the new ghostface and i can already tell i will think it's dated in a few months
