Ok guys we know ben is leaving so what was your favorite Ben Wallace moment/play of his detroit career? Right off the top i think of that amazing block on Shaq. Even though we lost that series it was still one of the most impressive blocks i have seen, it is only 2nd to Tayshauns block on Miller. Then i remember the first day after we traded Hill for Ben and Atkins, i completely remember being the most dissapointed person in the world. We lost Hill and got 2 no names. I consider this a favorite because it was the changing of the Teal era to the Ben Wallace era. Then my 2nd most favorite moment in my sports life was when we won the championship and the 2 pictures that cap it off are the ones right after he got the trophy and the one where he is walking off the court with it and kissing it. The only moment in detroit sports history for me was when Steve Yzerman finally lifted the Stanley Cup for the first time.So i know we are losing a star and to have it happen the same day Yzerman retired from the Wings just sucks. i lost both of my sports heros on the same day and in 2 completely different ways. And for one thing i know that i will cheer for Ben in 78 games in the year but i hope Sheed and Tay block the sh*t out of him and the pistons kill the bulls in the 4 times we play them. And with ben leaving detroit it now ends the Ben Wallace era and starts the era of the unknown.
My personal favorite was his block against the Celtic s a few years back when he jumped like 5 feet in the air to swat a jumper.

I was in awe when that happened lol. But hey, we still won that game and the series :happy0144: . SICK block though.
I just liked the way Detroit builded around him, getting Rip, Chauncey, Tay, and Sheed. And of course the trademark hair. The title Ben led us to was of course the favorite moment. The block was sick on Shaq too though.
man - theres too many, but there are a lot of memorable ones...for example the famous Shaq block that made him fall on his ass, the other Shaq block where he blocked it, caught it and threw it for a breakaway dunk. his block on Reggie Miller in the playoffs to seal the deal against Indiana...I specifically remember one of his blocks where he jumped like 10 ft to block Jermaine O'neal - the ball got swatted deep in the crowd...bulls fans - you are some lucky bastards
My favorite Ben Wallace moment. This is going to be hard. I think it's got to be his first playoff game. I was in the Palace that night against the Raptors. Bob Lanier presented Big Ben with his first Defensive Player of the Year trophy, and unlike the rest of the presentations, Wallace looked genuinely satisfied with the trophy in his hands. He seemed to be soaking up the standing ovation a little bit, letting out a large howl. It was a very ugly game where no team took control. Something got into Mr. Wallace, though. He went absolutely nuts in the third quarter. 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal and won a jumpball. But the moment isn't in the numbers. He wanted to win more than anyone else on the court that night. The Pistons entered the quarter with a tenative 42-34 lead, left with a dominant 65-45 advantage and another ovation for Ben Wallace. That's the night I fell in love with Ben Wallace. Final line in his first playoff game: 19 points, 20 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. His Best Block: on Shaquille O'Neal. Not the one with both men in the Conference Finals, but the one in the Pistons' first win against LA since 1997. The Lakers may have been a shell of themselves, but they were still the Three-Time Defending Champions, and Shaq was the most dominant force on the planet. His Best Rebound: The offensive rebound tip-in where he literally came out of nowhere in game 5 of the 2004 NBA Finals - one-handed.
