At a point in my life I became a rap fan, but since then the genre has remainded mainly the same and increasingly boring. A guy like Kanye West, who is actually not that great a lyrical writer, is being praised as the best rapper today because he is the only rapper daring to write about anything meaningful. Not only rao, but I'm tired of hearing mainstream rock bands sing about smoking weed, having sex, and shooting people. Stop trying to make us depressed and angry, sing about something meaningful.

To look back 50 years now at this era, and realize we have nothing to offer is sad.
