I dont remember the rumor exactly, but it was somewhere along the lines of Kidd for Odom, Bynum, Farmar, etc...

 

There was a rumor floating around this past summer (before the Ray Allen deal, before draft day) that would have gotten the Celtics Joe Johnson, Shelden Williams, and the #11 pick for Theo Ratliff, Gerald Green, Delonte West, and #5.

And of course, the AI to Boston rumors in 2006.

 

Knicks use "Allen Houston Rule" to cut Allen Houston.

 

Raja Bell & First Round Pick for Jason Kidd. This was last season close to the trade deadline. I knew it wasn't going to happen but just the idea made me imagine what it would be like.....Nash and Kidd.

New Jersey Nets drafting Gilbert Arenas over Brandon Armstrong

 

There were millions of Paul Pierce rumors going on, I highly HIGHLY doubt that Danny was about to trade him for Lamar Odom. I think that's nothing more than a false rumor with no smoke to the fire. The two Pierce rumors that did appear to have legs were Pierce to the LA Clippers for Maggette, Shaun Livingston, and a salary filler --- and Pierce to Portland for the rights to the #3 pick in the 05 draft (where we were going to take Chris Paul) and NVE. Pierce turned that down publicly, stating he wouldn't report to Portland, so that seemed legit.

There were Pierce to LA (Odom/filler), Chicago (BG/Chandler), Denver (Miller/Nene), New York (Crawford/Marbury), Golden State (forget), and Atlanta (Smith/cap filler/picks) rumors. I'm probably forgetting some as well. But, they all seemed to be just that - rumors.
