What are som of your favorite sports books? Three of my favorite sports books are 'Only the Strong Survive' by Larry Platt, which is a biography of Allen Iverson. Another is 'Let me tell you a Story' by John Feinstein, which is about legendary NBA coach Red Auerbach's life and success with the Boston Celtics, as a coach and general manager. The last one is 'The Last Shot' which is by John Feinstein; its about this college basketball scandal in the Final Four about game fixing and stuff. All these books are really exciting to read, and my favorite author is John Feinstein. He actually is from the Maryland/D.C area.

I really dont read sports books like biographies and stuff like that, but i do read a lot of other books. I think Chuck Papanuick is a great novelist. He's the guy who wrote Fight Club. If you think the movie was good, then you'll really enjoy the book. He has some other books as well. Fight Club is his best, but his others are also pretty good. Stephen E. Ambrose was also a great writer. He wrote alot of World War II accounts. Probably best known for the book Band of Brothers. Really great writer.

The book on LBJ by Ryan Jones, the SLAM editor. Well, actually it is the only book I have read so far. I'm going to get more into them soon though.

If the one your talking about is called Shaq Talks Back, then it's the one.Phil Jacksons book "The Last Season" about the Last Season of the Lakers Dynasty was also a very good read.
