I really don't know if Favre makes the Vikings a better team. I certainly don't think it does much for them. They need a Brad Johnson type with Tampa Bay for example. Someone who can complete a pass on 3rd and long and not turn the ball over. They don't have that with Jackson or Rosenfals, but Favre wouldn't be that either.

If he does go to Minnesota and I think after mandatory minicamps are done he'll probably decide too, he'll need to change his style of play. I think an example is what John Elway did in Denver late in his career. Elway used to be "THE" guy defenses prepared to beat, but late in his career he wasn't. Instead he let Terrell Davis be that guy and Elway was more of a caretaker. Favre would need to do the same in Minnesota to succeed in my opinion. He would need to let Adrian Peterson be "THE" guy and I'm not sure Favre can change his style of play. I think he's a gunslinger from start to end.

Ahman Green had an approximately 1,800 rushing yard season with the Packers. There is no reason why Favre and Petersen both can't be the guy, just like Favre and Green co-existed.

I can't wait for Favre to get out of the league. I didn't want to see him retire, but once he did, he has been annoying.

Tavaris Jackson is not that bad. Minnesota fans hate on him because he isn't progressing super-quickly. He's slowly progressing every day. He got us in the playoffs last year. Gus Freotte came in, butchered our record, then they put Jackson back in and he won us 3 of our last 4 games.

Plus, I fucking hate Brett Favre.

    RETIRE.

That was six years ago though. He's a different player now. Even though Green was the workhorse it was still all about Favre and Green kind of took a backseat.

Favre did throw 32 touchdowns that year and the Viking offense just isn't built for that. They don't have the depth at receiver nor a quality tight-end. They're a power run first football team and that's something Favre has never been in. Even last year he still attempted 522 passes.

Unless they can get Favre to change his style and show up for the other 14 games that Minnesota has to play that's not against the Packers, I'm not sure this is the storybook ending that Favre I think desperately wants to achieve.

I'm sure you know more than me since you watching the Vikings more often, but is there really hope for the "Tavaris experiment?" I've yet to be all that impressed with anything he's done. Whenever I see him play, it seems like he fails at finding open recievers in the pocket and can only create something when he scrambles out of the pocket.

I think you guys can be successful with Sage though.
