<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Favre: I want to play, but Pack must improvehttp://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...e.7ca1e05d.htmlGREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packer Brett Favre said he wants to play again, but he'll return only if the Packers can assemble a winning team. And if he does return this year, there is "no doubt" it will be his last season, he said. The venerable quarterback said he wants the team to get better players and make a committment to winning. "Last season, expectations were high and it was a bad situation," Favre said of the team's 4-12 season, his only losing one as quarterback. "If we can't compete at a high level, I can walk away and my legacy will speak for itself." Rumors have been circulating that Favre would have to make his decision to return by Saturday, but Favre said they're untrue. "If I don't tell them by Saturday, what will they do, cut me?" Favre told the Sun Herald on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Favre said he has been talking to the team for the past month and there are things that both parties have to sort out. "If they don't come together, I guess I won't play," Favre said. "I don't know if my decision will be made by Saturday."</div> do you think that Favre is being selfish for holding out this long on his answer??Is he hurting the Packers by not giving them an answer??

My lord, he's been a complete dumbass this entire off season. It's been driving fans nuts. He's coming back, it's tough to turn down $11 million dollars.

i think he's be in a hypocrite. He was getting all mad at Javon Walker for holding out and now he is practically doing the same thing.

What an idiot.I hate when great players, who otherwise would be remembered as legends destroy their legacy by doing something, or saying something ridiculously stupid. What Favre said will remain in the memories of many NFL fans, this will be something that will taint his legacy. Just retire already, yes they do want to cut you...the packers need to start over with a new, and young quarter back - your time is done old man.

I don't even think hes that good, he throws so many picks it's not even funny but he can throw for a lot of TD's though to and he's way better then my guys Joey and Jeff. But watch out for McCown and Kitna.

I think Aaron Rodgers right now is better then Brett, I hope he doesnt come back. 30 INTs is terrible, you can break a touchdown record and if you throw 30 INTs, your team will never be great. Even if Rodgers plays mediocre, and finished with a bad ratio,i doubt he will throw 30 INTs, if im trying to win, i'd much rather have a qb who can throw a decent ratio, then trying to have a guy averaging 35 TDs and 25 INTs, look at Marino and count the rings on his finger because of that.

Aaron Rodgers is better than Brett Favre? Are you kidding me? Favre had a poor year, he threw into double coverage a lot and was pressured a lot but he's still much better than Aaron Rodgers. Not to mention the running game was stagnent at best and he threw more passes last year then any year in his career....He threw 29 INT's and had thrown 23 INT's twice years back. Considerihng how much he was throwing and the way he has been 29 is not THAT big of a deal.

How is this hurting the team? If he leaves it's because we are rebuilding but if he stays, we get better players and compete for the championship. Either way is fine by me.
