A federal appeals court upheld an injunction against President Obama’s new deportation in a ruling Tuesday that marks the second major legal setback for an administration that had insisted its actions were legal.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled in favor of Texas, which had sued to stop the amnesty, on all key points, finding that Mr. Obama’s amnesty likely broke the law governing how big policies are to be written.

“The public interest favors maintenance of the injunction,” the judges wrote in the majority opinion.

Mr. Obama had acted in November to try to grant tentative legal status and work permits to as many as 5 million illegal immigrants, saying he was tired of waiting for Congress to act.

As much of a critic of Obama's domestic and foreign policies as I am... I am on his side on this one.

    No surprise there.

You're for anything that keeps Real Americans from attaining the American Dream through honest effort.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion. but the facts are, the constitution grants Congress the authority, "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization".

The law is on the books, the Presidents authority consists of, "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed".

People that illegally come into the country are not real Americans

If they legally did the paperwork to come over as I've had family members do, then They are real Americans

According to anthropologist, no one was created here in America. Perhaps legally and real American are synonymous.

I've never suggested that everyone who comes here be made a citizen via said Rules of Naturalization.

That doesn't make people who make their home here any less "american."

Funny how it's MARIS who's opposed to people making a fair wage for their labor.

If people are forced to scratch out a living via black market underground, they're not going to be able to pursue the best jobs they're suited for. Call them "not real Americans " and deny them even basic opportunity, they'll resort to violence.... Duh.

The whole "real Americans " schtick is frankly bigoted and race based. Again, duh.

Says the rabid racist who supports economic slavery in all of it's nefarious forms.

There are somewhere between 10 and 20 million illegal aliens currently propping up the world's largest slave labor economy here. They are purposely allowed to enter and remain in our country for both economic reasons (destroy the middle-class) and racist reasons (keep black Americans in poverty and jail).

They turned their backs on their own struggling countrymen, deserted their families, and they are criminals and liars every day they are here under false pretense stealing opportunities from Real Americans who would lay down their lives for America. And they spit on the very Constitution that is the foundation of America, having no loyalty or concern for any country or anyone but themselves.

They are not forced to work in a black market. They work for minimum wage or better using bogus ID. They are never turned down for a job. They are rarely unemployed for any length of time. Their employment rate far exceeds that of LEGAL Hispanic-Americans who love America, were born here (45%) or went through the immigration process (37%), follow our laws and support our Constitution.

How many unemployed vets do we have? How many unemployed minorities do we have? Why don't all jobs pay a living wage? This is why.

I don't quite agree. I think real American tracks right on with legal American. Congress has the right and the power to determine what is legal. Anyone else here other than visitor following
legal rules, has no right to be here, hence the term illegal. Don't make it a race thing just because most that here that did not follow the rules are brown people. Labeling that "Race" or
    "Racist" is political motivated obfuscation.

I support free markets. You're the one who would deny 10's of millions of people a fair wage, or even to join a union.

All an employer has to do is say, "I'll pay you $2/hour under the table or report you to INS" and that's how your style of wages work.

They're no more criminals than you are. Maybe they are ;)
