I am really not surprised this happened with a temporary injunction on the controversial parts of the bill. Knowing how "hot button" of an issue this is, I think the judge made a good decision to issue the injunction until this issue is settled in the higher courts. Look for this to end up in the US Supreme Court in a year or two, if Congress hasn't dealt with immigration overhaul by then (which knowing them, they probably won't).
