Honestly, I'm not sure. Yeah, Fedor has fought people of Brock's size, but has he fought someone with Brock's power and wrestling, plus athleticism? I'm actually leaning towards Brock by TKO via ground and pound.
Brock hasn't fought a submission master yet. He puts Fedor on his back, Fedor swings his hips and snaps Brock's arm with an arm bar (if he doesn't tap first). Or maybe Brock pounds him out. Hard to believe this fight is so compelling when Brock's such an MMA baby.
^^Brock was a national champion wrestler at the U of M. He may not be great at all the subtle parts of the ground game in mma, but he isn't bad or dumb. He can handle himself on the ground.
You can say we don't even know how good Fedor is. It's not like he is tested in every fight. He destroyed Sylvia, then knocked Arlovski out silly. I have a hard time imagining him losing against anyone in the world. That's hard to say for anyone. And no one has hit Brock yet, like really hit him. Fedor will hit him, he will hit him in a way he has never been hit before.
I think Brock wins it if he goes with a smart gameplan, and Brock although he looks like a dumb jock, he seems to be learning well. He obviously has the edge in wrestling, and if he takes a similar plan to what he did against Mir, where he gets into the halfguard and then works from there. Then it will be difficult for Fedor to transition, and pull off subs. I went with Brock by TKO. Fedor definitely has the abilities to pull something off (standing or sub), but I think the chances are greater for Brock pulling out the win.
Fedor my KO. Fedor could win anywhere, but I believe since they start on the feet Fedor WOULD finish him there. To bad Fedor signed with M1 Global though.
I love Brock as a fighter. One of my favs. But there is no way that he is beating Fedor. Although, I think he would give Fedor the best fight of anyone in MMA right now.
It scares me that Brock can actually win a potential match up with Fedor. I secretly hope that this fight never happens because a win would push Brock's ego outta the stratosphere, I wouldn't be able to stand it.
