This is where I’ll give Isiah some props. A couple of years ago, our average age was probably about 30. Now we’re somewhere around 25 or something. Look at the young guys: Channing Frye, Nate Robinson, David Lee, Jackie Butler, Qyntel Woods, and Eddy Curry. There’s no future superstar in any of them, but those guys are definitely a solid core to build around. These players are the future and instead of letting them rot on the bench, why not just give them at least 25+ minutes? I for one am sick of seeing Mo’ Taylor and Malik Rose eating up David Lee and Jackie Butler’s minutes. Lee is a better player than both and we usually play much better when he is on the floor instead of them. Why isn’t he getting the 30 minutes he deserves? Curry usually gets into foul trouble and then barely sees the floor again. Rather than keeping him on the bench, why not allow him to learn how to play through the game in foul trouble. He’s not learning as much if he doesn’t play through his foul troubles.
The team's 5 year's younger, but the payroll has still increased. It boggles the mind. I do agree that the youngsters should be getting more time. Not just for development, but I'd argue that they're already better than most of the "vets."
