Feel like going to an auction?

Showtime and CBS are auctioning off the assests to EliteXC, ProElite, King of the Cage and Real Sport (whatever that is). This includes the video library, dvd's and the fighters contracts. I wonder if the UFC and Affliction will attend this auction? This would really bolster any fight org's fighter stable as you can keep the contracts you want and ditch the others. I wonder if another start up wanna be MMA promoter might take a shot at succeeding where EliteXC failed?

I don't understand how these contracts can be sold off at auction. I'm not convinced a fighter could just take his contract to another promotion and everything would be hunky-dorey. I suspect the UFC won't buy any of them, will wait for the athletes to negotiate their way out of the contracts, then sign whoever is interested afterwards. That is if Affliction, Strikeforce, or another promotion doesn't jump in and throw money around.

Could I make a bid on Kimbo and post his fights on youtube, after I sell alot of advertising?

OR, could I make a bid on Gina, and give her a RNC?

A group of agents representing EliteXC's former fighters have banded together to prevent their clients from being sold like a slave auction by Showtime. For once are the agents doing something right?
