I was channel surfing last night and ended up watching this show called Fight Klub. I've heard about, but never really bothered to watch it, I figured it was just another watered down version of weak battle with predetermined winners. The battle I saw was Serious Jones v. lmao Serius Jones has a weird way of freestyle, it reminds me more of stand up comedy or something. He had some funny lines though, "and DMX tried to kill him, cause he caught him tryin to cook one of his dogs" "aren't there one billion people in China, you can't go platinum over der!"
Jin was the guy who ran it on 106 & Park for like 5 straight months and finally ended up getting signed by Ruff Ryders. I guess that never paid off as he's now on some busted late night show like this.
lol, if you've seen it, Jin could have easily taken it if he knew as much about Serius, as serius did Jin. And the racist jokes were terrible. But, Serius had the crowd and clearly won the battle In the Annual Fight Klub 50K battle before this particular battle, Jin took the crown. The next Fight Klub 50K battle pitted Serius Jones, Professor Green, Jin and some other MC against each other. Jin took the crown. Jin subsequently put the 50K that he just won on the line and called out Serius. Serius accpted the challenge, but never came out to take it. I wonder why. Jin would probably destroy Serius if he took that battle, but it never happened. But the Fight Klub is a pretty sick circuit. Their annual 50K battle has been pretty good. THey are an emcee battling circuit essentially, right? And Jin mutually agreed with virgin and ended their contract. He's indy and his first indy release was too good. Too bad there was no distro. PS. Jin owned sterling(if you are referring to the 106 and Park battles) PPS. yes i like Jin.
I personally thought (as a mc) that taking racial shots at a dude is kinda weak, especially when you know that person won't respond with racial slurs back, because of the majority black audience.
At the same time Jin uses his race to his advantage. I remember back when he was doing freestyle friday's on 106th and park. One week he ended by dropping a line like; "Your girl had my eggroll and dumplings in her mouth". He was always saying stuff like "Don't hate cuz this asian kid dresses better than you" when he was up against a black dude. Jin has to take the slurs (even though I agree its wrong) if he is going to use them in reverse to help his rhymes.
