<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CLEVELAND - Regardless of what the calendar says, the Cavaliers' playoff run starts tonight.

A half game behind the Chicago Bulls, without the tiebreaker for the Eastern Conference's No. 2 seed, the Cavs' four remaining games are must-wins if they don't want to end up with the No. 5 slot and what appears to be a sure meeting with the defending champion Miami Heat.

``I don't care who we play in the first round,'' LeBron James said. ``If we finish second, that's awesome. We have to get better in the last four games, and that's the No. 1 priority.''

Up first is a legitimate playoff opponent, the New Jersey Nets. Not only are the Nets a playoff team, they are a potential first-round opponent for the Cavs if they land the No. 2 seed. The Nets, currently the No. 7 seed, are in a fight to move up to the No. 6 spot with the Washington Wizards while having a thin lead on the Orlando Magic for No. 8.

So not only is tonight vital in both team's seeding struggles, it could set a tone in case there's a meeting in 10 days or so.

``Everybody knows the importance of these games,'' Cavs coach Mike Brown said. ``I hope with all these games there's a playoff sense of urgency.''

In theory, the Cavs should have the advantage against each of their last four opponents. First, all four have records below .500. Second, each is facing significant injuries while the Cavs have their entire roster available. And third, three of the four games are at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Nets (37-40) were devastated by the loss of center Nenad Kristic to a knee injury earlier this season and recently lost backup guard Eddie House to a hip injury. House has had great success against the Cavs.</div>
