http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/418...ot_match_offer/ We're not matching offer, he's going to be a Knick, and the Knicks can handle that ridiculousely huge contract for Jeffries while we got a huge bargain on Stevenson. This gives us some free money in case we want to try for another signing, however I think this is it for us this off-season. I wouldn't mind us signing him, along with Stevenson, however I'm happy as long as we got DeShawn.
We're going to need that cap money to resign Caron Butler, Andray Blatche and Michael Ruffin for next year, so by signing Deshawn Stevenson this year, doesn't make us worried about Jeffries.
I still have mix feeling about JJ. Part of me want him to stay. Another part says to let him go. So, I just go with whatever EJ decides to do. Good luck to JJ whatever happens.

I can't find a link, but right after we got him in that trade involving him, Atkins, and Kwame, the articles reported that he signed a contract extension.
