For the regular season: L. Aldridge +376 B. Roy +319 S. Blake +231 G. Oden +157 R. Fernandez +152 N. Batum +137 J. Przybilla +135 T. Outlaw +85 S. Rodriguez +63 M. Webster -6 M. Ruffin -7 J. Bayless -13 S. Randolph -21 I. Diogu -40 C. Frye -78 LA and Roy are our best players, so its no surprise their on top. Blake played above expectations this season and it showed. I'm surprised Outlaw isn't as high as Rudy/Batum but it's probably because he doesn't play defense. Lastly, Frye needs to go away.
Yeah, I hope so. I still don't understand why Nate played Frye in the playoffs. He played 4 out of the 6 games. All the games he played in we lost. He didn't play in games 2 and 5 and we won. The most minutes he played was in game 1, with 20 and it was no surprise that we got blown out. Frye can't play defense, he can't rebound. Most of the time he can't even shoot.
The important thing to look at is win% - not +/- - losing by 30 points in one game but winning 29 other stretches by 1 point will put you in - in the +/- category - while being a major asset on the win%. When you look at this - Outlaw jumps ahead before Batum and right next to Rudy - the rest of the list of the major rotation guys (60 games or more) is pretty much the same (Frye goes ahead of the garbage time guys - but still comes at the end behind Sergio).
he played mostly because of foul trouble. except for game one not sure why but nate liked frye in that game....but really he is as good as gone, we won't resign him.
While single-season +/- can be deceptive (especially when not adjusted for things like starting/backup roles), this actually syncs pretty well with my impressions watching the Blazers play. The only thing that doesn't is Blake's high placement and Przybilla's low placement. If Blake were swapped with Przybilla, it would be quite close to how I saw their value during the season.
