I was watching around the horn and to my knowledge I see that Finley will sign with the Spurs. What do you think?

Bench warmer or more power to spurs?

Both, bench warmer and more power to the Spurs. They have to be the front-runners to repeat after adding Finley and Nick Van Exel.

In a sense, I'm glad he didn't sign with the Suns, since they are in the same division as the Lakers. I'm also glad he didn't sign with the Heat. He went to the lesser of three evils, is the only positive spin I can make of this. So far Shaq isn't quite the recruiter he makes himself out to be. Michael Finley turned down the full MLE in Miami to play with Duncan & Co.

I think its more power to the Spurs the reason why I dont say bench warmer is because i think bench warmers are useless and Finley will help the Spurs alot. Also i aint no mod or anything but why is this on the Lakers forum?

I guess since it has an effect on the West, it indirectly effects the Lakers. Plus we get to take cheap shots at Shaq for not being able to recruit him. Petty yes, but still enjoyable and all in good fun. [IMG]

I see Finley playing anywhere from 20 to 28 minutes per game. Maybe 11-12 points per game. It will be obviously but down due to the different role but the looks he will get with Duncan around will or at least should increase his shooting %.

20-28 mins? That's quite a bit for him coming off the bench, unless he starts for Bowen. I see him playing 20 max and 5 minimum. Barry is a pretty mello guy, so I don't think there will be too much dispute on who gets the most minutes.

It could be anything from 20 up to 28. Mainly due to the fact Finley can play both the 2 and the 3. There's no chance he will start ahead of Bowen. The starting 5 won't be touched. Be interesting how he and Bruce get on after the problem they had in 03 which got Finley ejected.

Let's see, Spurs sign Finley, Van exel. Lakers get Smush, Profit, Mckee. Hope they send us a post card from the playoffs.
