Hi, everyone. This is Umair's brother (pakman) on forums. I only have like 30 posts so I couldn't post here and didn't want to get on the mods bad side by posting in the wrong section. So here it is..

This is for a school project, it has to be a page long. I've worked on it a bit, but im not so great with rhyming. REMEMBER - It has to be factual information, this can be considered a bit of rap, but no garbage stuff. Only factual information.

This is what I got so far..

Always remember to stop drop and roll
Saving your life is the goal
Make sure your smoke detector is up to date
'Cause when your house catches on fire, it can decide your fate
Get down with your family and create a fire plan
Its going to help one day, trust me man
Check your fire extinguisher here and there
Learn these rules so you can get out and share
If something catches on fire, get adult help or call 9-1-1
Never play with matches, its not cool, neither is it fun
Incase of fire, crawl under the smoke and heat
Follow the rules and you shall never suffer defeat

Thats my work right there, if you think some other line makes more sense or seems to rhyme better, let me know. If you can create a WHOLE new thing for me, that'd be awesome, since I know many of you in this section are good with rapping. So, do what you can to help me out guys. Any kind of help is REALLY appreciated. Im open to critism also.

This is due Tuesday. Last time i'll be checking this thread would be around monday night.

Thanks for reading, and looking forward to receiving your help.

    -Pakman

lol, Umair has a brother on JBB. Umair vs. Pakman freestyle battle: Let's get it on! (sarcasm).

Seriously though, I don't how much that assignment would be worth. Seems like busy work to me, so what you have looks good enough.

It's Umair, he just doesn't wanna embarrass himself by posting a Fire safety poem so he created an alter-ego [IMG]

Just playin Umair...and yeah, it's not too shabby.

The rhymes seem a bit forced. Since it's for school, and it's about fire safety, it should suffice.

I'll give you few lines. I've been dying to freestyle against someone!! Haha look for them some time later.

Do you mind giving me some information, I'm not too good with fire safety. I'll use the information and turn them into rap lines hah.

If you can come up with that, you should be able to write a page's worth. Instead of changing topics every line, state the topic first and spend another line or two explaining it. Details and imagery make for a more interesting poem. If you are allowed to type it, then double-spacing is your best friend.

Iggy, here's some useful info on fire safety.

I am not forcing you to help. Help if you want, ****. You guys have rap battles here and stuff so I thought this would be the appropriate place to ask.

Here are some sites you can take the rules from and create a rhyme.

Well, there were a variety of choices all related to Fire safety in some way. The others were powerpoints and stupid boring usual stuff. So I decided to go with something fun. Then the teacher told me it had to be a page when I had already gotten all of that. So I didn't want to quit and do something else. So I decided to stick with it and thought some of you guys would help since your good with rap/rhyme stuff.

    K I'm done!

I made a 7 step plan part with what to do if you wake up during a fire.

waking up during a fire is a tough pill to swallow,
but if it happens, heres a few steps you can follow
step 1: if you think you smell smoke, check in case do not assume
it may be dark during a fire, so keep a flashlight handy in your room
step 2: know your fire plan, and who you're designated to help out
then safely check out your room and follow your fire escape route
you may feel terrified, but your situation will never be dire
step 3 is to bang on others' doors warning "FIRE! FIRE!"
step 4: if you cant get out, dont panic everything will be okay
because if planned everything right you should have an alternative way
step 5: if you get out of your room, stay down like you are small
remember to stay down, always fall and crawl
step 6: dont go back for anything, all your posessions you can replace
once your safely outside, go at your designated meeting place
now that your safe from the fire, the worse is now done
the final step is to go to a neighbors house to call 9-1-1

here are a few extra lines i thought up.

make sure you have smoke detectors on every floor in the house,
if not you might end up with a fire to douse
do not be afraid, stay calm and set your fears aside
if you see a fire dont hide, just go OUTSIDE!
if you think a rooms on fire check the knob with the back of your hand
then follow procedures to the fire escape route that you've planned

    Tell me what you think!
