Well you guys only got one or two versions, but I've been working since mid December and updating a good four or five times a week, at the very least. There was a time that my computer was down and I wasn't able to update, but that helped refill my need to "mock" (if you will ) and I went on an update spree upon returning..So it's been about four months. And yes, it's really going to suck when there are ten trades within the first round and the whole thing goes to hell, but my ultimate goal is to create something realistic..Hitting even half the picks dead on are almost impossible, even ask Kiper (who went 0-32 in his second round last year). So, here we go...Any late breaking news may change this, but it won't be in a new thread..I'll post if anything changes:Round One:1) Houston Texans Reggie Bush | Running Back | Southern Cal.Mario Williams is being considered but Bush is still the pick for Houston.2) New Orleans Saints - Mario Williams | Defensive End | N.C. StateNew Orleans is looking hard at AJ Hawk, but staying at #2 will likely give them Mario Williams who is arguably the better prospect anyway.3) Tennessee Titans Matt Leinart | Quarterback | Southern Cal.The Titans have ties to all three top quarterbacks, but see Leinart as the best prospect and re-unite him with offensive coordinator Norm Chow.4) New York Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson | Offensive Tackle | VirginiaThe Jets continue to work out Jay Cutler and Vince Young, but with Ferguson on the board here at #4 and a gaping hole at left tackle he's almost impassable.5) Green Bay Packers AJ Hawk | Outside Linebacker | Ohio St.One of the shoe-ins of the draft, Green Bay has a huge need at outside linebacker and surprise no one picking Hawk here.6) San Francisco 49ers Vernon Davis | Tight End | MarylandThe team needs defense, but a bigger hole may be offensive weapons. They must surround Alex Smith, and Davis is possibly the best offensive prospect in the draft.7) Oakland Raiders Vince Young | Quarterback | TexasThe Raiders select Young to learn from Aaron Brooks for a year or so before stepping in as the new face of the franchise.8) Buffalo Bills Winston Justice | Offensive Tackle | Southern Cal.The Bills take a long look at Brodrick Bunkley and Haloti Ngata to fill their need at defensive tackle, but they have needs all over the offensive line and Justice's stock has shot through the roof after impressive workouts.9) Detroit Lions Michael Huff | Defensive Back | TexasMichael Huff is the best DB in the draft and will help bolster an unimpressive defensive backfield in Detroit.10) Arizona Cardinals Jay Cutler | Quarterback | VanderbiltThere is no one behind Kurt Warner who is getting older and can be considered an injury risk.11) St. Louis Rams Antonio Cromartie | Cornerback | Florida St.Cromartie at #11 may explode in St. Louis faces, but they also may get the last laugh as he has top 10 potential.12) Cleveland Browns Haloti Ngata | Defensive End | OregonThe Browns see Ngata as a defensive end in their 3-4 scheme, although he may move inside to nose tackle once Ted Washington calls it quits.13) Baltimore Ravens Brodrick Bunkley | Defensive Tackle | Florida St.With a big need in the middle that Baltimore has seemed to have since the days of Tony Siragusa, defensive tackle is a position they must address early in the draft.14) Philadelphia Eagles Chad Greenway | Outside Linebacker | IowaThe Eagles have expressed interest in Chad Jackson, but it is quite possibly only a scheme to trade down in the draft. Should the Eagles stay put at 14, Chad Greenway would be the best pick for them as theyre thin at linebacker both talent and depth wise.15) Denver Broncos (f/ATL) Chad Jackson | Wide Receiver | FloridaDepth is needed at wide receiver and Rod Smith is nearing the end of the line.16) Miami Dolphins Donte Whitner | Strong Safety | Ohio St. The Dolphins have made a great effort to revamp their secondary this off-season, and Whitner solidifies that movement as the team's new starting safety or at the very least, nickel corner.17) Minnesota Vikings Ernie Sims | Outside Linebacker | Florida St.The Vikings have moved to a Cover-2 defense, and Sims fits the scheme perfectly and is an upgrade over a group of mediocre Viking linebackers. 18) Dallas Cowboys Santonio Holmes | Wide Receiver | Ohio St.The Cowboys added Terrell Owens, but opposite of him Terry Glenn is getting older and there is no depth to speak of after the two.19) San Diego Chargers Tye Hill | Cornerback | ClemsonThe Chargers needed secondary help since the end of the season, and have traded corner Sammy Davis as well as put other defensive backs on the trading block.20) Kansas City Chiefs Kamerion Wimbley | Defensive End | Florida St.The Chiefs have a need at defensive end across from Jared Allen, and Wimbley will become the pass rusher they're looking for.21) New England Patriots Bobby Carpenter | Outside Linebacker | Ohio St.The Pats have never had trouble reaching for a player who fits into their system, and do so here picking Carpenter who can play ILB or OLB in a 3-4 defense.22) San Francisco 49ers (f/DEN thru WAS) Manny Lawson | Outside Linebacker | N.C. StateThe 49ers clearly acquired this pick from Denver intending on picking up a front seven player, and Lawson is a player who can play rush OLB for them in the 3-4 defense.23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jimmy Williams | Defensive Back | Virginia TechRonde Barber and Brian Kelly are getting older, there is no depth to speak of at the position, and safety is a need for them, all reasons that make Williams and his versatility a great pick here.24) Cincinnati Bengals Jonathan Joseph | Cornerback | South Carolina.Tory James is getting older and this is a drop for Joseph who will be used for depth at the very least.25) New York Giants John McCargo | Defensive Tackle | N.C. StateIts a bit of a reach, but the Giants have a huge need at defensive tackle and McCargo is certainly a first round talent.26) Chicago Bears Sinorice Moss | Wide Receiver | Miami (FL)The Bears have spoken highly of Moss for months, and showed interest in Antwaan Randle El who is a similar type of player.27) Carolina Panthers DeAngelo Williams | Running Back | MemphisThe Panthers simply cant pass on Williams here, who has top twenty talent at the worst. DeShaun Foster was re-signed but is still a huge injury risk, and the team wasnt satisfied with Eric Shelton even before he went down with a season ending injury.28) Jacksonville Jaguars Rocky McIntosh | Outside Linebacker | Miami (FL)The Jaguars lost Akin Ayodele to the Cowboys and have no one ready to step into the starting lineup making McIntosh a great pick here.29) New York Jets (f/ATL thru DEN) Laurence Maroney | Running Back | MinnesotaLaurence Maroney is a playmaker who will help support the declining Curtis Martin.30) Indianapolis Colts Joseph Addai | Running Back | L.S.U.Addai is a reach here, but the Colts feel that running back is such an imminent need that they cant risk him or Brian Calhoun falling to them in the second round, or even taking a gamble on LenDale White.31) Seattle Seahawks Kelly Jennings | Cornerback | Miami (FL)The Seahawks have a need for depth corner and Jennings can provide them with that at the very least.32) Pittsburgh Steelers LenDale White | Running Back | Southern Cal.White's stock has suddenly gone on a downward spiral, and some believe he'll fall into the second round. However the Steelers don't have any pressing needs, and enough depth at running back to afford the injury risk involved with picking him.Round Two:33) Houston Texans Eric Winston | Offensive Tackle | Miami (FL)Winston can be one of the steals of the draft if he returns to the form he showed two years ago.34) New Orleans Saints DeMeco Ryans | Outside Linebacker | AlabamaThe Saints brought in Anthony Simmons and Scott Fujita, but one or both may not crack the starting lineup and depth is needed.35) New York Jets Mathias Kiwanuka | Defensive End | Boston CollegeKiwi isnt your prototypical 3-4 player, but not only can he be coached into the system but the Jets wont play in a full time 3-4 defense, helping him to slowly ease into a full-time role.36) Green Bay Packers Nick Mangold | Center | Ohio St.After losing Mike Flanagan, the Packers have a big need at center and simply cannot pass on Mangold here as hes a possible first round pick.37) Denver Broncos (f/SF) Brian Calhoun | Running Back | WisconsinThis may be a bit high for Calhoun, but the Broncos supposedly really like him and will put him in their backfield with Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne.38) Oakland Raiders Gabe Watson | Defensive Tackle | MichiganWatson is the big guy in the middle Oakland likes and will help fill the hole left by Ted Washington and Ed Jasper.39) Tennessee Titans DQwell Jackson | Inside Linebacker | MarylandThe Titans let starter Brad Kassell walk, making Jackson a great pick and great fit between David Thorton and Keith Bulluck.40) Detroit Lions Thomas Howard | Outside Linebacker | U.T.E.P.The Lions desperately need linebacker help, and must address the position early.41) Arizona Cardinals Marcus McNeill | Offensive Tackle | AuburnMcNeill has top 15 talent, but a back injury has caused his stock to plummet and while his talent isn't in question, his health is a major concern.42) Buffalo Bills Jason Allen | Cornerback | TennesseeThe Bills franchised Nate Clements, but after he and Terrence McGee have little depth to speak of and this is a great value pick.43) Cleveland Browns Tamba Hali | Defensive End | Penn St.Despite his stock steadily falling, the Browns have been said to like Hali and he will immediately play at least a situational role in their front seven.44) Baltimore Ravens Daniel Bullocks | Safety | NebraskaThe Ravens need a starter at safety with Will Demps gone.45) Philadelphia Eagles Claude Wroten | Defensive Tackle | L.S.U.Wroten has no talent issues and is still a first round talent, and his incident off the field is minor enough to be ignored, even by the Eagles.46) St Louis Rams Marcedes Lewis | Tight End | U.C.L.A.Lewis will solidify the Rams offense that has lacked a pass catching tight end for years.47) Atlanta Falcons Richard Marshall | Cornerback | Fresno St.The Falcons lack depth at the cornerback position after DeAngelo Hall.48) Minnesota Vikings Charlie Whitehurst | Quarterback | ClemsonThe Vikings seem determined to draft their future franchise quarterback early in the draft and after seeing none of the big three fall to them in the first round (as expected) they're sure to scoop up Whitehurst before anyone else can.49) Dallas Cowboys Ashton Youboty | Cornerback | Ohio St.Cornerback isnt a huge need for Dallas but Youboty is a borderline first rounder and the Cowboys have done a good enough job of filling their other needs through free agency to make a great value pick here.50) San Diego Chargers Daryn Colledge | Offensive Tackle | Boise St.The Chargers need depth on the offensive line after injury and age hurt the groups production last season.51) Minnesota Vikings (f/MIA) Leonard Pope | Tight End | GeorgiaNew head coach Brad Childress would probably love to start fresh at the tight end position, one that was utilized often during his days in Philadelphia.52) New England Patriots Maurice Stovall | Wide Receiver | Notre DameThe losses of David Givens, Andre Davis and Tim Dwight can not be made up by with only Reche Caldwell. The team needs depth at the position more than any other and Stovall will help provide that at the very least, and former Patriot coach Charlie Weiss is most likely encouraging this pick.53) Washington Redskins Cedric Griffin | Cornerback | TexasThe Redskins continue to bring Anthony Fasano in for visits but with only one first day pick its likely a ploy to trade down. With their only notable cornerbacks being Carlos Rogers and Shawn Springs, depth is needed.54) Kansas City Chiefs Danieal Manning | Cornerback | Abilene ChristianThe Chiefs did enough in free agency to hold the cornerback position off for the first round, but must address it early and Manning can also play safety if needed.55) Cincinatti Bengals Anthony Fasano | Tight End | Notre DameThe Bengals need an upgrade at tight end and Fasano solidifies the position for them.56) New York Giants Demetrius Williams | Wide Receiver | OregonThe Giants dont have much depth at wide receiver after Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer, who is also getting older.57) Chicago Bears Dominique Byrd | Tight End | GeorgiaThe Bears have lacked a top tight end for a long time and Byrd certainly has the potential to be one.58) Carolina Panthers Darnell Bing | Strong Safety | Southern Cal.The Panthers have a hole at safety after moving Thomas Davis to linebacker on a full time basis.59) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Davin Joseph | Offensive Guard | OklahomaThe Bucs have been all over Davin Joseph for months now, and early this year noted that he may be worth their first round pick. That has obviously changed now, but the team still has a need at guard and shouldn't hesitate to pick him here.60) Jacksonville Jaguars Charles Spencer | Offensive Guard | PittsburghThe Jags did a great job adding both Mike Williams and Stockar McDougle for depth at offensive tackle, but their interior offensive line can use some help as far as depth goes.61) Denver Broncos Mark Anderson | Defensive End | AlabamaThe Broncos pursued multiple defensive ends this off-season, and would like to add a pass rusher at the position.62) Indianapolis Colts Gerris Wilkinson | Inside Linebacker | Georgia TechA bit of a reach, but the Colts love quick athletic linebackers and Wilkinson may project to outside linebacker at the next level.63) Seattle Seahawks Darryl Tapp | Defensive End | Virginia TechThe Seahawks showed their interest in adding a defensive end by their aggressive pursuit of John Abraham.64) Pittsburgh Steelers Ko Simpson | Free Safety | South Carolina. The Steelers lost Chris Hope and have admitted that they want to bring in competition for Ryan Clark.Round Three:65) Houston Texans Abdul Hodge | Inside Linebacker | IowaThe Texans brought in Sam Cowart to play inside linebacker, but he's hardly a long-term solution. Hodge may very well start over Cowart and provides them with an upgrade in the middle of their defense.66) Houston Texans (f/NO) Roman Harper | Safety | AlabamaThe Texans desperately need help at safety and won't find starter quality players in later rounds.67) Green Bay Packers Derek Hagan | Wide Receiver | Arizona St.The Packers have a need at wide receiver with Terrence Murphy gone and Javon Walker unhappy with the organization.68) Denver Broncos (f/SF) Joe Klopfenstein | Tight End | ColoradoKlopfenstein is a local prospect who the Broncos like and he will help fill the hole left by Jeb Putzier at tight end.69) Oakland Raiders Max Jean-Gilles | Offensive Guard | Georgia The Raiders need help on the interior line, and Jean-Gilles is a big guard who will help protect Aaron Brooks.70) Buffalo Bills (f/TEN) Pat Watkins | Free Safety | Florida St.After losing Lawyer Milloy this off-season and as Troy Vincent continues to age, the Bills can use some competition and depth at safety.71) New York Jets Ryan O'Callaghan | Offensive Tackle | CaliforniaDespite the Jets already selecting D'Brickashaw Ferguson, they go back to addressing their offensive line and pick yet another tackle in O'Callaghan, who will push Adrian Jones for the right tackle job and at the very least provide depth at both right tackle and right guard.72) Arizona Cardinals Anthony Smith | Free Safety | SyracuseThe Cardinals have Robert Griffith at free safety and he is nearing the end of the line.73) Buffalo Bills Jonathan Lewis | Defensive Tackle | Virginia Tech The Bills have a clear need at defensive tackle, watching three of them depart this off-season, all who played significant roles in 2005 and who also didn't produce as they should have.74) Detroit Lions Andrew Whitworth | Offensive Tackle | L.S.U.The Lions need help along the offensive line, and Whitworth is the right tackle they're looking for to replace Kelly Butler in the starting lineup75) New England Patriots (f/BAL) Chris Gocong | Outside Linebacker | Cal PolyAlthough they drafted Bobby Carpenter in the first, the plan here for New England will most likely be to start Carpenter inside and use Gocong for depth at defensive end and possibly all four linebacker spots.76) Philadelphia Eagles Jon Scott | Offensive Tackle | TexasThe Eagles have a need at offensive tackle as theyve got two starters in Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan who only have two or at the best, three years left in them.77) St. Louis Rams Ray Edwards | Defensive End | PurdueAfter filling other holes on the defensive side of the ball, the only position the Rams have failed to address to this point is defensive end. Edwards will help their defensive line and hopefully the production of Leonard Little.78) Cleveland Browns Maurice Drew | Running Back | U.C.L.A.The Browns plan to rely greatly on their running game this season behind a solid offensive line, and they need depth and a change of pace behind Rueben Droughns.79) Atlanta Falcons Chris Chester | Center | OklahomaChesters stock has risen as of late, and hes a great fit in Atlantas zone blocking scheme.80) Dallas Cowboys Taitusi Latui | Offensive Guard | Southern Cal.Even after bringing in Kyle Kosier, the Coyboys need depth at the very least at offensive guard.81) San Diego Chargers Stanley McClover | Outside Linebacker | Auburn The Chargers need help at linebacker as Donnie Edwards and the organization aren't on good terms and Randall Godfrey only has a year left in him.82) Miami Dolphins Jason Avant | Wide Receiver | MichiganAvant has great potential and will learn behind two solid receivers and under Nick Saban.83) Minnesota Vikings Alan Zemaitis | Cornerback | Penn St.This is a drop for Zemaitis and he fits perfectly well in their Cover-2 defense. The Vikings may use him as a nickel corner or even move him to safety for competition or depth.84) San Francisco 49ers (f/WAS) Greg Jennings | Wide Receiver | Western MichiganAfter trading Rashaun Woods and letting Johnny Morton go, the 49ers are now very thin at wide receiver and must continue to surround Alex Smith.85) Kansas City Chiefs Rodrique Wright | Defensive Tackle | TexasA reserve/situational role at a weak and untalented position for Kansas City for a season should give Wright the conditioning needed before he is ready to assume a full time role.86) New England Patriots Jeremy Trueblood | Offensive Tackle | Boston CollegeTrueblood is a local prospect who can help make up for the loss of Tom Ashworth to the Seahawks.87) New York Giants Paul McQuistan | Offensive Tackle | Weber St. With Bob Whitfield being the top reserve on the team behind two aging starters, depth at offensive tackle is a need for Big Blue. 88) Carolina Panthers (f/CHI) Spencer Havner | Outside Linebacker | U.C.L.A.Even with Thomas Davis moved to outside linebacker and the additions of Hannibal Navies and Keith Adams, depth at outside linebacker is needed at the very least and Havner may wind up starting or part of a rotation. 89) Carolina Panthers TJ Williams | Tight End | N.C. StateThe Panthers have a big need for a solid tight end, and while Williams is a bit of a reach here they have no other big needs and he may not be there when they pick next.90) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Devin Hester | Cornerback | Miami (FL)The Buccaneers get at least a return man out of Hester, who may also provide depth at wide receiver and/or cornerback.91) Cincinatti Bengals Victor Adeyanju | Defensive End | IndianaAdeyanju has gone up and down draft boards, but is still considered one of the drafts top sleepers at defensive end and can be developed behind Robert Geathers on the lackluster Bengals defensive line.92) Jacksonville Jaguars DeMario Minter | Cornerback | GeorgiaCornerback isnt Jacksonvilles biggest need, and while Brian Grant and Rashean Mathis are an impressive starting duo depth is needed behind them as Terry Cousin isnt getting any younger.93) Atlanta Falcons (f/DEN) Jerious Norwood | Running Back | Mississippi St.The Falcons have a need at running back as Warrick Dunn isnt getting younger and TJ Duckett doesnt fit the system.94) Indianapolis Colts Jason Spitz | Offensive Guard | LouisvillePeyton Manning speaks, the organization listens. After complaining about the offensive lines play, the guards in particular, in Indys playoff loss vs. Pittsburgh.95) Minnesota Vikings (f/SEA) Martin Nance | Wide Receiver | Miami (OH)After losing Nate Burleson to the Seahawks, the Vikings use the pick they got for him to replace him with Nance.96) Pittsburgh Steelers Will Blackmon | Cornerback | Boson College The loss of Randle El leaves kick return duties vacant, making Blackmon a solid pick here as he may also provide depth at corner and/or wide receiver.97) New York Jets (comp) Omar Jacobs | Quarterback | Bowling GreenJacobs has the tools to be a top 20 pick, but he is a developmental project and that for some reason has caused his stock to sink. He has the potential to be the best QB out of this draft class possibly making this pick an enormous steal.Picks By Team:San Francisco 49ers:6) Vernon Davis | Tight End | Maryland22) Manny Lawson | Outside Linebacker | N.C. Im not gonna comment on your whole first mock draft because i mainly know those people that are prospected in the first round but i really like your 1st round mock. I pretty much agree what you got. Not bad
man you just keep turning out great looking mocks. I really think tye Hill is overratted, and it is great to see you put 2 corners infront of him.I think mckintosh is a little bit of a reach......but who knows. If abdul hodge is still there in the 3rd round i will litterally poop my pants. And I doubt the colts would pass on him in the second. But this is one of the best mocks I have seen. mel aint got shit on you.
I dont understand the Kiwanuka to the Jets pick, hes a good player and all, but he doesnt project well to the Jets unless you are penciling him to be a DE/OLB, and Im not so sure on if he has the speed for that. You have Calhoun and Whitehurst going way to early IMO. They should both be around in the 3rd round. A better pick would be either Brodie Croyle or Kellen Clements to Minnesota there since those are the next 2 highest rated QB's on the boards.Overall very good mock though....although personally I dont like the drafting 2 OL in day 1 plan like Jon_Vilma does.

We do need an edge rusher, but he doesn't fit the bill for a 3-4 switch. And drafting 2 OT's on the 1st day is just smart. Fills our needs.

The third round would be too far for Calhoun IMO.Whitehurst is the 4th best QB on the board if you ask me. Hell, he may wind up being more successful that at least one or two of the top three, but as far as pre-draft status goes I have him #4. I dont see the hype behind Croyle, I've been talking smack on him for months and NFLDraftCountdown just finally lowered him down their rankings, I think they have him as their 7th ranked QB now? I'm not a huge fan of that site anyway..But people saw his face on TV during the Skills Competition and suddenly think he's got game that he doesn't...Kellen Clemens is more of a backup QB, he's solid but probably will never crack a starting lineup full-time..That's not what Minnesota is looking for.
QUOTE

But this is one of the best mocks I have seen. mel aint got shit on you.
I don't think Mel has shit on a lot of people ..But thats the greatest compliment I could have ever asked for. I know this is off topic. But does anybody know why Kiwanukas stock dropped all of a sudden? A month or so ago he was predicted to go to the Ravens at 13 now in most mocks hes not even in the 1st round.

Some positional players were moved up and down, so a lot of teams have the same positions in each round just a different player. The Bears and Panthers changed only because of Ricky Manning Jr. giving Carolina Chicago's third rounder. If you want to see any real changes, take a look at the Colts, Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers.
so D'brick isn't much better then any of the OT that Mathias would be facing in the NFL. but i do defintly get the point you are making

Biggest reason why Kiwanuka dropped. He had 9 sacks in 3 games out of his 10 I believe.I WANT THE RAVENS TO GET OMAR JACOBS THOUGH.We need to trade down for more picks.
Well obviously there aren't any trades projected..I was going to post a bunch of possible trade situations, but even that gets out of hand so I just left it the way it is.
Alright, so I just did another update..Had to drop Wroten down...But didn't post it. Try not to reply in this thread, let it fall down the page..And I'll post one final thread with the final version right before the draft.
