It's amazing how Blazer fans keep turning on their top power forwards. Sheed got us to two WCFs and was run out of town, with everyone clamoring for ZBo who was "playing like a real PF." In Sheed's last year, everyone talked about how much they preferred ZBo. Then, only a few years later, everyone says they want Aldridge instead. Now, it's Hickson. Some of us are never happy.

    I LOVED Z-Bo's play! Wish we had a clone of him.....strictly on-court.

I think if Z-bo was like Aldridge off the court, he'd still be here with Durant, LMA and what's left of Roy's knees. Unfortunately, he wasn't. And NYK and LAC didn't think so, either.

NY and LAC, like us, were horrible organizations at the time, making horrible decisions. Saying that those fuckups made bad decisions doesn't excuse us. Knicks, Clippers, and Blazers didn't realize what they had.

Z-bo's off the court behavior was excusable. He also piled up stats but wasn't a good team mate. Now I liked Wallace.

Or, they realized that they had a serial-bad-decision-making, raping, drug-running guy who liked owning a posse more than playing quality basketball. I'm glad that Z-bo's not in jail or dead and playing well, but let's not pretend for a second that the ball he's playing right now wipes out the memory of what he was doing off the court for the better part of a decade.

What the fuck? Serial rapist? I guess I could call you a serial rapist too. It'd be about the same thing.

fixed, and you could call me whatever you want, but I've never had to explain to a judge why my dick was up a girl's ass without her permission.

He also has not run drugs. He'd be in jail for that.

I liked Sheed quite a bit, but he wanted out and they granted his wish. As for LaMarcus I hope we keep him. He looks like he's not all that healthy right now, but I suspect he'll get healthy in due course ... like next year after they add another lottery pick to this motley crew.

I remember just a few years back a lot of fans wanted the Blazers to deal Aldridge to the Rapters for Chris Bosh.

Link please. As I remember it, Rasheed said he liked Porrland and wanted to say in every interview I ever watched or read. We were playing great basketball (we had won 8 of 10) when we traded him.

I think trading Aldridge for the right package could be beneficial to our future.... I don't see how that's "running him out of town". If we could deal him for a couple of pieces that fit our core, I say do it. Hickson is good enough to lessen the sting of losing Aldridge.

    To be clear:

    Aldridge > Hickson

But Aldridge also is older and has more trade value :dunno:

We need more than just five players... and right now that's practically all we have.

    address some real needs then.

Starting Center. Bench. That's all we need to do really....unless we're trading Aldridge for a great starting center in the league, don't bother trading him for some shitty "prospects" that will never ever ever make an allstar team.

I don't think Hickson is a starting PF in this league.

A lot of good will be done by getting Hickson to the bench to be a backup PF for Aldridge...get him some rest...and having a real Center in there.

Another good thing would be to get an upgrade at the 2 guard.....

as bad as the blazers have been playing, there isn't really the need to blow up the team as we need a few pieces...and we have the cap space and flexibility to make those moves to get to the next level. Freaking out and chasing out the 2nd best PF in the league for scraps and draft picks isn't the way to go here...it rarely is.
