Every time Marcus Fizer got a mention on the public-address system Saturday, announcer Steve Scott referred to him as Marcus Fizer Sr.

The new suffix is a tribute to his newborn son, Marcus Jr., though it's all a little confusing since Fizer's given name is Darnell Marcus.

A congratulations goes out to the Fizer family.

Cold to hot: Jamal Crawford hit 1 of 11 shots in the first three quarters against the Hornets, then erupted for 23 points while hitting 10 of 12 shots in the final quarter. The 10 baskets were a United Center record for one quarter.

"I'll take the blame for this one," Crawford said. "The first half, I started off so slow. For some reason, I was tired. My energy wasn't there."

At least he accepted the blame. Maybe its a sign of maturity? I hope so. Anyway, it was a valiant effort in a loss.
