"Ryan McGill is the latest member of the Calgary Flames' coaching staff to be axed. McGill joins fellow assistants Jamie McLennan and Rob Cookson who were both let go at the season's conclusion. Dave Lowry, however, has had his option picked up by the club — meaning, he is the lone assistant to survive. "Now that the evaluation of our coaching staff in Calgary is complete, (head coach) Brent Sutter will begin the process of identifying, interviewing, and ultimately selecting candidates to fill the vacancies on his staff," Flames acting general manager Jay Feaster said in Monday afternoon's press release."
