This is the same person who once said that all it would take for him to play at an All-Star level is consistent minutes. I hope that this experience in Detroit hasn't broken the spirits of Flip but I would never have thought that Flip would be content being a practice player for any NBA team. Even in garbage time he doesn't go after his game any more. I wish that he would have made this declaration earlier b/c that may have been enough to get him traded before the deadline. The kid has done everything right since he has been in league and he has been shitted on both in terms of his role and in terms of his money. The high road isn't necessarily the quickest path to success. I hope that he is rewarded for his patience and perseverance before his age catches up with him.
