The college football betting week five will be highlighted by a major SEC clash between the number-one ranked Alabama and number-seven Florida, the teams many projected would battle for supremacy in the strongest conference in the NCAAF. While the SEC has its own showdown in the making, the ACC will feature a clash of two of its best teams when Miami travels to Clemson, while the PAC-10 continues to gain respect with its three teams ranked in the top-20 among the hottest online sports betting picks early this year. Florida Will Be Washed Away By The Crimson Tide While the Gators have wavered early this season, the first without new NFL betting star quarterback Tim Tebow no longer leading the charge, the Crimson Tide have become a powerful wave that looks as though it will wipe away the entire schedule for a second consecutive season. Alabama swept through the first three games of the season without caution, and after falling behind early at Arkansas, proved that they can win even after falling behind early in pressure situations. With running back Mark Ingram looking to be in Heisman trophy-form over consecutive victories since his return, the Crimson Tide are rounding back in to championship form. Florida looked a step slow early on in wins over Miami of Ohio and South Florida, but rebounded in time to salvage the victory. Despite that the Gators are coming off of their best performance of the season, quarterback John Brantley cannot command the attention of opposing defensive coordinators the way that Tebow did, and that takes away from all of the pieces on offense. With so many people hyping the game, and after what Alabama did in their first couple of home games this season, the potential is there for a blow out, and at least one sports blogger feels as though it is destined to happen. PAC-10 Steals Spotlight From ACC Battle While Miami’s visit to Clemson this weekend should make for a phenomenal football betting contest, the PAC-10 has stolen some of the spotlight away from the ACC with three of the hottest teams in NCAAF, including number-four Oregon, number-nine Stanford, and number-18 USC. All three teams are undefeated this season, and the case can be made that regardless of their results each school has shown improvement with every game. The Ducks have the top-ranked offense in the country, and have not scored less than the 42 they put up in an 11-point victory over Arizona State last week. Now will come their toughest task of the season so far, hosting the Cardinal in a massive PAC-10 showdown. The Trojans get another dress rehearsal this week against Washington, before traveling to Stanford the following week for the beginning of three straight crucial match ups. After the Cardinal, USC battles California in a clash for state supremacy, and then host Oregon in what could be a battle for top spot in the conference. The Wildcats play Oregon State this Saturday, and don’t meet either of the big three until facing them in consecutive weeks from November 6th through the 26th.
