The Philadelphia Flyers have signed free-agent forward Nikolai Zherdev to a one-year contract. Zherdev had 39 points in 52 games with Atlant-Moscow of the Continental Hockey League in 2009-10. Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced the move on Friday.
