    I went for a more artistic interpretation with this one; a little bit more grungy, slightly distorted throughout.

    This whole effect is really easy to do. After I apply the image (the sig is merged into one layer), I duplicate it, and then apply the sprayed edges effect (I think that's what it's called). Then I just erase that top layer, leaving the unaffected areas showing where I want them.

    Ok the layer effects I used were "Spatter" and "Sprayed Strokes" found in "Filter Gallery -> Brush Strokes"

    The font is Chaser Demo, the subtext is good ol' Times New Roman
