I think it was time for you professionals to help out the n00bs like me. This thread is for all the n00bs that have questions regarding the game and some simple features. So I'll start off with a simple one and hope someone can answer me: I've just finished the EPL season and won the title with Liverpool. I also won FA cup. Everything is fine and the board confidential updates are positive. Preseason is going to start soon. I want to make transfers, but my club's transfer budget is only $8,000,000. I requested an expand on the transfer, and the club staff told me "we are annoyed by your constant requests and you can resign if you want." So my question is, what do you guys do in that vacation period between the end of the season and the start of pre-season? Make transfers (which I can't do with the low budget)...Or set up friendlies, how?
I usually look for a lot of players and what i need for the next season. But with 8mil there is not a lot you can do. You can have players on loan. Swap players.Sell players you dont play for some money. I should also set up a home tournament and have about 7 friendlys. Dont request more money because they are likely to sack.
it also might be worth checking the expired contract and expiring contract list you can find some gems on there if you have a pretty kickass team dont try and get big name players, buy some young players and develop them

pfft i got sidwell,basturk and romaric as spurs and i signed vitti and kompany kompany cost 18M but he hopefully will be worth evry penny

Question: The next match in the game is 2 days away. Do I acctually have to wait the 2days or is there a way to speed it up to match day?
FM Manager sucks I won the premiership with Newcastle and Uefa cup and FA Cup one season the next season they gave me a budget of 6 Million expected me to finish a respectable position in the league i didnt spend any money I was sittin 1st by November and they sacked me I was like MOTHERFUCKERS. but back to the subject normally what i do is look for a one player this season i need and then after that season i buy defenders to strenthen the back 4 and youngest also try and get people for free by checking contract status but 8 Million there not alot you can do maybe buy a some players from the SPL like Brown from Hibs but i doubt he will be good enough for liverpool but i dont know try Thomson who will be still under Hibs in the game unless he has been signed by another team. Also try French league teams like Bordeaux, Paris etc.
