I personally hope the Pacers sweep here. Too much in the front court for Boston to handle.
    Prediction : Pacers in 5

    <div align="center">New Jersey vs New York</div>

Go the Nets. New Jersey's defense and transition offense will be too much for the Knicks.
    Prediction : Nets in 5

    <div align="center">Detroit vs Milwaukee</div>

Milwaukee stumbled into the playoffs and will be swept straight out! I hope not, but they stand no chance.
    Prediction : Pistons sweep.

    <div align="center">Miami vs New Orleans</div>

I am personally supporting the Hornets, although they wont get too far. Heat have done well to steal home court, but they are making up the numbers.
    Prediction : Hornets in 7.

    <div align="center">Minnesota vs Denver</div>

Honeymoon is over for the Nuggets, when the T-Wolves finally make it out of the first round.
    Prediction : Wolves in 4

    <div align="center">LA Laker vs Houston</div>

Houston will push them like in game 1 all series, but dont have the fire power.
    Prediction : Lakers in 6

    <div align="center">San Antonio vs Memphis</div>

I like Memphis, but I dont like their chances against a clinical Spurs outfit.
    Prediction : Spurs in 5

    <div align="center">Sacramento vs Dallas</div>

What an entertaining first round. With the Kings winning game one, they'll take the series.
    Prediction : Kings in 7.

Sorry this thread started a couple of days late!

Dwayne Wade hits the game winner with 1 second on the clock. He has been big this year. The at times, forgotten rookie. Ugly game though.

    81-79 Heat!

Best team in the East. If my homie Paul Pierce notches it up and Ricky Davis keeps his good image going, they might have a chance...might
    Prediction : Pacers in 6 (Boston+Post Season=trouble)

    <div align="center">New Jersey vs New York</div>

Nets are too fast. Marbury's team won't keep up.
    Prediction : Nets in 5

    <div align="center">Detroit vs Milwaukee</div>

I don't even have to comment.
    Prediction : Pistons 4.

    <div align="center">Miami vs New Orleans</div>

I like Miami here. They are playing too damn good to give up now.
    Prediction : Heat in 6.

    <div align="center">Minnesota vs Denver</div>

This is Minnesta's time to shine.
    Prediction : Wolves in 4

    <div align="center">LA Laker vs Houston</div>

Yao is not tuff enough yet to dominate the Lakers. Mabey next year.
Prediction : Lakers in 5 (My choice to win it all this year.)

    <div align="center">San Antonio vs Memphis</div>

Memphis is still too young and inexperience to take a series away from the defending champs.
    Prediction : Spurs in 5

    <div align="center">Sacramento vs Dallas</div>

    Sac+Dal=shooting gallery.
    Prediction : toss up.

    Food for thought

All the top ranked teams won game one. Not one upset! C'mon fellas change it up a bit. The Miami/Hornets series, and the Sacramento/Dallas series are the only two likely to got to the wire.

    [IMG] Big Call insshc!

Do the Pacers choke, or does Ricky and Pierce run riot?

To me the Celtics may win one when they are hot, but I dont think they can grind out a series.

artest gets DQed for the remainder of the playoffs, jermaine refuses to play because his personal chef didn't cook him his favorite chicken, reggie does his trademark flop but is distracted by paul pierce's nice-looking butt and while staring a bit too long lands badly on his neck, and rick carlisle discovers to his horror that he's balding and so cannot concentrate on something as trivial as the nba playoffs in the face of this catastrophe

meanwhile ricky racks up 8 assists every game, all off the opposing team's backboard and he swears they were assists, really

    Round 1.

    Indiana vs Boston

*Indy will sweep Boston with no problem. Even without Artest tomorrow*

    Prediction : Pacers in 4

    New Jersey vs New York

*I don't really care who wins, New York sucked on Saturday. Maybe they will bring it back and injure that punk Aaron Williams*

Prediction : New York in 6

    Detroit vs Milwaukee

*Too much Wallaces for the Bucks too handle.. Another sweep for the East*

    Prediction : Pistons sweep.

    Miami vs New Orleans

*Wade is playing like the forgotton Rookie here and is unstopable with Lamar Odom. It'll be an ugly series*

    Prediction : Heat in 7.

    Minnesota vs Denver

*Mello you aint goin nowhere.. You got Sudden Sam dropping 40 on you it's all over. Pack your bags*

    Prediction : Wolves in 4

    LA Laker vs Houston

*It'll go down to the wire. 7 games and it'll be a real ugly series. Payton has back problems so it'll be too much Francis*

    Prediction : Houston in 7.

    San Antonio vs Memphis

*Memphis you gotta get it together.. Your chances are dwindling*

    Prediction : Spurs in 5

    Sacramento vs Dallas

*Dallas if you learn how to play Defense I'd pick you guys but you can't. You may get lucky a couple games but you led Portland last year 3-0 and they tied it up 3-3. You guys ain't going no where*

    Prediction : Kings in 6.

Sheed, what is with this hate toward Aaron Williams?

Is it because of that game against the Pistons when he was happy to see his team over 70 points?

I'm a little confused as to why soooo much hate.

Nets will beat the Knicks comfortabely.

I read at Cavstalk.com that Artest is suspended for the next game for leaving the bench during a fight! Sucks for them.

actually im not sure why I hate him, I just do. That is a main reason why I hate him about the Pistons game but some reason I hate him and i just do.

Everyone has a certain player they hate, and me I hate Aaron Williams, maybe it's because he is white and he looks black and acts and talks black.. I don't know there is something about him that I hate..

Maybe it's the fact that he can't play basketball and is a waste of space.. He's even more of a waste of space than Yogi Stewart..

I don't know but there is something that I dont like about him..

About the Ron Artest thing, that is total bullshit! All he did was get off his seat and went on the court for 2 seconds and sat back.. he didnt do anything.. I think the NBA felt bad for the Celtics so that's why they suspended him..

Comparing Aaron Williams to Yogi Stewart is unfair. Williams, while not being spectacular, can play a little, and is a good, quick hustle guy. Something we need.

Yeah the Artest thing was a little harsh. A fine would have been more suitable.

    Game 2 : San Antonio 41 Memphis 31 with 2 remaining in the 2nd.

haha yeah artest should've been fined not suspended... he really did nothing, i mean yes he violated the LETTER of the rules but really, the spirit of the rules is intended to prevent and punish entire benches getting up and getting involved in huge brawls - he just got up, took a couple steps on the court (jermaine or whoever it was HAD gotten fouled HARD) then went back... he wasn't going for an all-out brawl

like rjeff for new jersey, when kidd got drilled, he stood up off the bench and went on the court but only like a foot in, he won't get punished and he shouldn't, and neither should artest (at least not a suspension, a fine would be better - what if the celtics were serious opposition?)

in fact, if i were carlisle i'd pay artest his salary for the dq'ed game anyway, i think it's great to see teammates concerned for each other - i'd MUCH rather have players get protective of their teammates than just sit around and not care when their guy is getting hit

and aaron williams is a fine player, i can understand you disliking him for no reason, but let's be fair, he's no yogi, the guy is a great bench player

The Spurs defense is really stifling the free scoring Grizzlies. Poor old Memphis finally get to the big time, and they face the NBA finals experts.

Spurs 68 -59, end of the third.

I demand a Ricky Davis blowup during the playoffs on national TV and see him humiliate himself. I also am rooting against him more than I'm rooting for anyone else. I don't want those Boston fans getting smug over him.

As irrational as Sheed's hate for Aaron William's may be, mine is an ever-evolving one for Ricky. Now that he's not a Cav and he made the comments he did, I will enjoy seeing him fail like I did with Belle. Just the kind of evil partisan fan I am. [IMG]

Don't talk bad about my birthplace! Fail, Ricky D, fail!!

And can anyone tell me how getting swept like the Knicks and Celtics are doing, helps with team progression?

    Speaking of getting swept...

There are no 1-1 series right now! This trend may continue after tonights games too. I think Heat- Hornets will be the closest thing to a good series.

I really want to see Dallas get it together at home. I go to school in Dallas and my buddies are all pretty upset about going down 0-2 to the Kings. The Mavs are frustrating; they play defense much like the Cavs... In spurts if at all. Aside from personal issues (Ricky D) Toine Walker is my least favorite NBA basketball player.

    Keep it up Pacers.

I cannot wait to see the Cavs in the p'offs next year.
