I was thinking today about my favorite football movies. I would have to say I have two football movies that I really like:

Any Given Sunday (I could watch Cameron Diaz read a phone book for 2 hours and I'd be entertained)
    Waterboy

    Any other great football movies?

Replacements is pretty funny and I watcher Any Given Sunday the other night but my favorite still is the Program. Absolute instant classic though any given sunday is probably a close second.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>There's only one LONGEST YARD</div>

I was watching ESPN Classic last night (to watch "On Any Sunday"), and saw that "The Longest Yard" is being remade by Burt Reynolds with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock! That's the end of the info I have on the project... But what about that great motorcycle flick from 1971, "On Any Sunday"? I was a dirt rider back then, and we thought that it was the greatest film ever made.

BTW, I too vote for "The Longest Yard" as the greatest football flick. Bernadette Peters trying to get at Burt's man meat while he had on the cuffs... Caretaker blowing up in his own bunk... That's classic film making.

Rember the Titans, then Longest yard. Sports movies rarely get the full effect, but those 2 did a great job in it.
