<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I feel like this is my team now," third-year forward Bostjan Nachbar said. "Guys are coming instead of me going to a different team."</div>

This right here made my day: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said Friday that Nachbar will have the first shot at becoming the primary backup to both McGrady and Jim Jackson.</div>

It's a pretty good read, its great to see that Boki will have a chance on this team, hopefully his option is excersised.

    Comments and thoughts?

This really is giving me goosebumps, I cant wait till preseason starts.

I like Boki a lot too, but is he really a good player? I've seen some of him, and he looks like he makes good contribution. But then when i look at his numbers, they are quite bad. He shoots a very low percentage.

I remember that dunk of Malone he had, and the block on Malone he had. I remember some big 3 pointers as well. But his stats are pretty bad i think.

Those Plays just showed everyone that he has potential. In my opinion I think Boki can contribute alot of the bench. We just gotta wait and see.

I dunno, this team has literally NO shooters...JJ had a nice year from behind the arc, but it was his 1 good 3-pt year in like 11 seasons...other than that, Ward is a nice shooter but he'll only take like 4-6 shots a game so he's no real threat...Nachbar could be the designated shooter/scorer off the bench, plus he plays defense and is aggressive...he's the one legit option as a backup at the swingman spot because hes one of the few legit shooters on the team...

Ward, Lue, and Sura are decent shooters. McGrady is a good 3 point shooter. Jackson should be ok again. And we also have Padgett, though I don't know how many minutes he'll get.

I think Rockets aren't the best shooting team like maybe Seattle from last year. But they do have some shooters. Tmac, Jackson, Lue, Ward, Nachbar are all decent shooters.

Who ever said that the Rockets were the best shooting team to begin with? We havn't been amformidable shooting team for a while now. Just because we are a revamped team doesn't suddenly make us invincible.
But we do still have good shooters. obviously Boki is doing great, and for some reason, people seem to be under-estimating Lue. NHe's a really good shooter.

Well, all we need on the perimeter is stationary shooters that are ready to pop it from three whenever Yao throws out a pass after being doubled. Nachbar, Jackson and Ward are all great spot-up shooters, while T-Mac more of creates his own shot. It's great to see Boki given a chance, but this might be his last chance in Houston if he doesn't pan out.

Actually, last year rockets were a very good 3 point shooting team, one of the best in the league. But with the loss of Mobley, that may take a hit. Oviously, TMAC is a much butter replacement for mobley. But Francis is also a better 3 point shooter than Sura, Mobley is better shooter than TMAC, and Jackson might not be the same. So i think that this year, our 3 point shooting will not be nearly as good, unless Nachbar, Lue, and Ward can come up big for us.
