Say this: As Colangelo, the general manager of the Raptors, spoke about how Chris Bosh’s absence might have positive repercussions, there were echoes of spring training, when Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Shaun Marcum told everybody that Roy Halladay’s departure might actually be a benefit because it would allow some of the younger pitchers to grow into their roles. “They won’t be walking around on eggshells,” Marcum said, quite candidly describing the absence of Halladay and those damned Cy Youngs and resolve and complete games.
